Good Morning Everyone,
I am in Ft. “Liquordale” as our speaker said last night. We used to call it that also. I’m at the Marriott and this time I am doing it a little different. I drove over with Roy and Michele and we only took one wrong turn. But it wasn’t so bad! My GPS is pretty awesome! Anyway, Michele and I are sharing a room so we can get reimbursed for 2 rooms. I’ll get that money since Michele is having some money challenges right now. She has a lot of medical bills and can’t work right now so is on disability. But I must say for someone struggling like that you’d never know it with her attitude. She is so “upbeat” and positive. When we got in yesterday – around 1:30 our room was ready which was super. So the first room we went to was on the 3rd Floor. Our view was of the ROOF! Both of us decided to go down and get another room. I probably wouldn’t have done it if I was by myself, but it was pretty easy and now we are on the 7th Floor overlooking the Preserve. Funny hotel in the center of the city I think. It’s hard to tell. But it definitely isn’t near the beach. I’m hoping that one day we’ll be hosting a quarterly again in Naples at the Naples Grande. It’s such a great hotel. We’ve done it before, but it was about 5 years ago and I’m not sure whether it’s large enough. I think it is. Anyway, I think our hotel is really nicer than this one – no offense Marriott!
So today we begin with an Early Bird Meeting at 7AM. I think I’ll try to get there, but I wanted to do this and then I still need to dry my hair. But of course I can always come back to this during the day – which I probably will – and finish it up.
There was another school shooting in Oregon the other day – I think 2 days ago. It is pretty horrific. I think about the college across from my house and it could have been there. I also think about CSN when this type of thing happens. How devastating it is for the families, the town and the whole nation. So sad for us all!

Good Morning Again,
It is now Sunday and I’ve been having a wonderful time at the quarterly. I am really glad I came to this one. We’ll need to stay here until the “bitter end” because Roy needs to “vote” so I’ll just hang out and do some listening and some learning. I plan to write my report for Intergroup for the Grapevine. I’m excited about doing a workshop for the Audio Project. It will really be fun. I’m still trying to figure out how to do it, but even if we get only 5 people to do it the first time, that will be fine. The workshop we did was really fun. I took pictures of the cue cards:

I am planning to do an “Audio Project” Workshop for The Grapevine. I’m not exactly sure how we will do it right now, but I hope to work out the details going forward. I’ll need to let people know we are doing this and get Roy and Haven to help with it. I suppose I need to get the word out about having a “Grapevine” Rep from all of the groups. It is probably up to me to get to more meetings to do this. I don’t even have reps from the Grapevine Meeting that is at the Serenity Club. I suppose in honor of Steve I should make it to that meeting on Monday nights. Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow. So it will be up to me as Chair person.

Now we are enthusiastically thinking about the “Concepts” and “the Traditions” and Jerry E is willing to lead us on this part of the journey. Roy is taking the lead on this. It’s great to see him get enthusiastic about this type of thing. It’s been fun sharing the weekend with Mouse and Roy this weekend. We already signed up for the next Quarterly in Sarasota. We got 3 rooms and as of 9AM today (Sunday, October 4) the Hotel Block is sold out. I’m glad I was able to get the 3 rooms at the host hotel. That is SO important. So now we’re set. I think I want to have my own room since we are only going to stay for one night. Anyway, I’m going to sign off now.
