Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Woke up this morning at 6:30AM! Now that is REALLY sleeping in for me! I’ve got the TV on this morning in the background waiting for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Gulfcoast High School Band is in the parade this morning. I’m looking forward to seeing that. They said it will be around 10:30 so it’s a ways away now so I’ll keep adding things to Wylie as the day goes on!
Thanksgiving 2015
So I’m going to go back on Wylie to see if I posted on Thanksgiving last year and see what I had to say!
So this was what I was concerned about last year:
Oh yea, so the other thing that got me going yesterday was a letter from our Homeowners association. Last week my garage door broke. The spring broke. So I called the people who fixed it before to come out but they couldn’t get here until Monday morning at 6:30AM. Anyway, it happened on a day that was “trash pick up” day and my trash can was out. I couldn’t get my door open so I couldn’t get my trashcan back into my garage from Thursday to Monday. Plus I had to park Rose out in the driveway all that time too. So the letter said it had “come to their attention that I have left my trash can out in front of my unit “all of the time”. Anyway I took offense to that. The letter goes on to state that it is a county ordinance about not doing that etc., etc. I get it, but it was because I couldn’t open my door and I put it up against the garage door which should have indicated that I couldn’t put it inside. So I’m wondering how they knew and which “condo” commando reported me. Anyway, I wrote a nice little note telling them the circumstance of my door being broken and that I don’t make it a habit of leaving my trash can out “all of the time”. Actually that really pissed me off. So if it ever happens again, I’ll wheel the sucker into my back porch so I don’t get “reported”!

Thanksgiving in Naples
Today it is 67 so it’s going to be a better, warmer day today. I plan to go to the 24 Hour Club for Thanksgiving Dinner today. It should be good! I’m not bringing anything so I’ll give a few dollars instead. I’ll be going to the Naples Group tonight. I’m hoping to ride my scooter to the 24 Hour Club today.
I’m thinking about putting some of my Christmas decorations up today. My lights for the garage were never put away, but I realize I’ve used them for the Grapevine Display, so I may go buy some new ones for that and dig them out of the display box. Anyway, that is a bit of a project for me. Yesterday I cleaned a bunch of things and will probably do some more cleaning this weekend! I’m still amazed that I have 5 days off this Thanksgiving! That is SO COOL!
