#291 Good Morning Tuesday, February 2, 2016

Hello Bill and Cathy, the world and beyond,

I haven’t been posting lately.  I’ve been having trouble with my computer.  The Windows 10 crashed.  I went on YouTube to try to fix it, but I must have done something wrong (surprise) and it wouldn’t work at all.  I should have left well enough alone when the Start Menu stopped working because everything else was working fine.  But of course I thought I could do it so I tried.  As Bob would say “TRY IT”!  Well, off to Office Depot I go.  I left the baby in the hands of Geoff and he was determined to fix it and for only $39.99 (on sale)!  So I got there after the Saturday meeting around 8:30 PM and the store closes at 9PM.  After resetting my computer a couple of times we got it to work.  Only problem is now a lot of the features I had set up before are not there.  So I had to re install my Printmaster.  I had to get MS Office 365 (at $5 per month) and Publisher and I had to set up Filezilla again.  Gary helped me with that and he also told me how to put the new schedule up on the website as Bill updates it often before it is printed again.  Anyway, now I have a “new computer” almost.  I have to admit it’s been fun figuring out how to get to things like my On Line Banking and FB and EarthLink.  The biggest thing I needed was the connection to my Scanner.  So now that is all fixed and life is good again.  I’m amazed at how important this little piece of technology is to me.  It’s my “lifeline” at times.  Even though I sit in front of the computer all day long at work, I come home and sit in front of this one.  CRAZY!

But Barb from work has turned me on to YouTube videos that have me walking a mile at home.  They are called “Walking with Leslie” (Cathy check them out – they are perfect for you in your home).  Her videos have you walking 1, 2 and 3 miles.  I’m only doing the 1 mile one at this point, but will work my way up to more.  I love them because I can do them in the morning before work and I don’t have to be dressed.  I’m still in my “grubbies”.   It really starts the day well.  I used to walk around the circle, but that got to be a little boring so I stopped doing it.  So we’ll see how this goes.  The thing is I now have a Fit Bit.  I have found that I’m walking 10K steps more often than I’ve ever done before.  It is set up to my phone and when I hit 10K steps it vibrates a few times.  It’s really funny.  Then if I get a phone call, it vibrates once and the number scrolls across the band.  That is pretty cool too.  Plus it is PURPLE!

I’m not sure which pictures I’ve put on Wylie recently.  I sometimes put them in the Media Library for future blogs but then I forget which ones I’ve done that with!  So if this is a repeat I apologize.

I think I remember putting this one up and saying I was hoping it wasn’t “photo shopped”.  Anyway it is a great picture!

Right now I’m waiting for the Mobile Groomer to arrive to give Domino a petticure.  I’m a little nervous about it.  But it seems the last chance to do it.  I can not get him in the carrier.  God forbid he gets sick and I need to take him to the vet!  I have him closed up in my shower right now waiting.  I’m surprised I don’t hear him making noise.  They will be here any minute now.  More shall be revealed!  So to follow up:  Don and Carrie came in right on time.  I let them go get Dommie in the bathroom.  I didn’t want to watch so I sat out at my computer.  So all I heard was blood curdling screaming from him.  He is very dramatic!  It was awful!  So they came out and said, do you have any bandaids?  That wasn’t good.  Both of them were scratched.  They could only get one side done (I think it was the right front and back).  He was pretty stressed but accepted a treat from them in the living room and didn’t hide behind the couch.  By the time I left for work, he was fine.  Lying on the coffee table, relaxed as all get out!  So now my plan is to get Christian, my next door neighbor to come help me get him into a crate to take to the vet again.  I think we can do that.  I’ll do it in a few weeks.  Next time they have Saturday hours.  It should be the answer.  Since I’ve never heard him scream at the vet, I wonder how they do it there.  So now he is just lying on the dining room table, sweet as can be!  Ugh!

Got to go now.  Thanks for visiting!
