#303 Good Morning Saturday, May 28, 2016

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted.  Things are going well.  It’s a long weekend for us this weekend – Memorial Day.  Here is a great picture that sums up the day:

I thought that was pretty awesome.  I’ve seen other “sobering” pictures too, but this one spoke to me.

So last week I wanted to learn how to put the new “Schedule” on our website and I asked Gary to help me.  He sent me a little video that I can save and repeat it when I need to do it.  I loved it and I followed it and put the new schedule on the website.  He used a program called “JING”.  It is really amazing and I’m thinking that I could use it for my information at work to teach my “job” to someone.  I’m having trouble getting the program to work.  It keeps asking for my email and password and then it says I don’t have an account and then it says I do have an account and it just isn’t working right.  I’m sure it is something I’ve done, so I’ll keep trying but it should work for my “office manual”.  We’ll see.

So here is a great picture that Steve L got on his morning adventures.

This is an amazing shot.  He uses a camera.  I love the face!  It looks like he captured it just as it was about to take flight.  So Cool!

Today I’m going to go to Morning Reflections then it is off to Food Angels.  Roy is coming with me today so he can get some food.  He’s going to volunteer for us today.  It should be interesting.  We’ll get there around 9:30 so he can get his food earlier than the others.  At least that is what I’m envisioning.  When we get there, we’ll see how it goes.

Here is a picture of Food Angels:

Yesterday at the 5:30 meeting, Dennis shared that his neighbor had died that day of a massive heart attack.  He shared that he was “hurting”.  I saw that his shirt said “Naples Lakes CC” which is where Ralph and Heather live.  Anyway, I contacted Bruce to give him a call to see how he was doing.  I swear he mentioned that he had “relapsed”, but that may not be true.  I’ll see if he mentions it again.

So John is delayed in Massachusetts for the bank closing on the real estate deal he’s representing but should be home on June 1st in time for the 5:30 meeting.  That is the night of the Intergroup meeting and the Picnic Committee meeting before hand.  Then the picnic is on Saturday.  So I’m guessing I won’t see him that night.  I’ll have to remember to tell him that.  I have to hand in my money for the picnic tickets I have.  I also have to give Bill the tickets I have to sell.  Maybe I’ll be able to see John afterall.  If I get the “stuff” to Bill ahead of time and then send in my reports to Intergroup, I won’t have to go to the meeting.  I’ll have to pray about that for a while.

Well, got to go pick up Roy for the meeting.  I may be back later.  If not, thanks for visiting!

I’m continuing this blog for the weekend on Sunday, May 29th.  I got up and it’s a beautiful morning.  We sat out on the porch for a while and listened to “nature”!  It was great.  My porch is dirty again.  I think I’ll ask Roy to power wash it again.  I’ll pay him $100 this time since he isn’t working and can use the money.  Better than just “giving” him the money.  He’s proud.

Yesterday I went to the beach and watched sunset.  It’s been a long time since I’ve done that!  It was beautiful.

It was pretty awesome!

We also got some watermelons yesterday for the picnic next Saturday.  I’m keeping them in my guest room:

Another thing I found interesting on FB yesterday was a map of the US and how much it takes to live in each state – what is considered a “living wage” in that state.  Florida isn’t too bad, but pricey.  Not the highest though.

Wow New England really is High!  Glad I’m in Florida now.  No wonder Jenn and Janet always seem short as well as Heidi.  But $60K in Mass is high!  I’m wondering if this is for a family of 4 – that is how they usually do this type of thing.  Hawaii is the highest at $61K.

I think I’ll ride Red2 to church this morning.  It’s a beaut

I$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$# (Domino walked across the keyboard)!!!  It’s a beautiful ride and long enough to get my “money’s worth”.  I don’t have to set up this week which is nice, I’ve done it 3 weeks in a row!  Today is Kenya’s turn.  We’re running low on people to help with service.  People have just lost interest I think.  Maybe not.  But I’m still willing.  It’s nice to have a “reason” to get to church.  And since I have an extra day this weekend, it’s not so hard.  It will be good to get to lot’s of meetings at NA.  I have my own key now so I can use the club for meeting with Haven if she wants.  We’ll see how that goes.  I think I’d like to study a little more with her.  Perhaps we could just read together.  I think I’d like to do that with John also.  Since he isn’t a “TV” guy (threw his away a while back) we’ll need to do something.  He likes to do guided meditations.  That was fun the last time we did that.  Time will tell how things go with him.  More shall be revealed.

Time to get going.  I may add to this tomorrow also.  We’ll see.  Thanks for visiting!
