Good Morning Everyone,

Day 9 of the Harley Horror.  The good news is I got to my 7PM meeting last night and it was really good.  Roy came and picked me up.  He is in a bit of a funk right now.  I’m hoping he’ll snap out of it.

I’m going to get Cierra out of hock today.  I’m calling Ted’s office to ask them if it’s okay to bring her home.  Roy thinks he can fix the light.  He has a buyer from one of the guys he works with who “collects” Harley’s or at least gets them and sells them.  I’d like to get $4K for it but that is asking a lot.  I guess I would take $3K.  I’ve put a lot of money in it.  I’d like to pay down on my credit card with the money.

Today is “Payroll” day at work.  Lily is stuck doing it all.  I do feel bad about that.  Millie called me yesterday but didn’t leave a message.  Maybe she’ll call back.  I believe she is supposed to be back a work this week.  I hope it happens.  My being off also impacts Patti and I hate that even more.  But one day I’m going to leave and I hope it is sooner rather than later.  I don’t want a regret that says “I wish I hadn’t worked so much”.  I’m reading a book called Coach Life by Alexis Hartz.  She is the sister of Mike Hartz.  It’s about a woman who quits her job and buys a “coach” and tows her car in the back and travels around with her cat named “Cat”.  Her intent is do “do good” where she goes.  I’m about 1/2 way through it and she’s just getting on the road for the first time.  I’ll let you know how she progresses.  Then I’ll mail the book to Cathy.  I think she’ll enjoy it.

I also finished the book God on a Harley.  All about a woman finding her way to love herself with the help of God on a Harley.  It was good too.  Heidi sent me a title the other day that she enjoyed.  She reads a LOT.  And she works in a library.  Perfect job for her!  I’m doing a lot of reading during this Harley Horror.

I believe I had a reaction to the antibiotic that I was taking so on Friday I stopped taking it.  I see the Doctor tomorrow.  I have an itchy rash on my back.  It’s annoying, but that’s about all.  My leg hurts a little once in a while.  It takes a lot for me to fall asleep at night but that may be because I sleep during the day too.  The bandage keeps getting loose and falling down so I need to re-wrap it a number of times throughout the day.  Vince (Dr. Guzman’s assistant) said you have to be careful with the wrap that it isn’t too tight.  I hope I’m not causing more issues.  Guess I’ll find out tomorrow.

I contacted Expedia about cancelling my flight out to Yellowstone.  I now have a voucher with American Airlines.  I’m going to contact them today and say I have a “medical emergency” and that I’d like my money back instead.  Wish me luck on that one.  I decided even if I was “up and running” by then, I’d really rather not take more time off.  I’m glad I have over 500 hours of PTO so this time off is paid for.  Now that is the coolest thing for me that I get paid for sitting around and healing!

So Wylie is helping me with this blog.  She keeps bumping me and trying to get my attention, but how can I resist such a face:

She still looks like this – so pretty.  I’m going to take a break for a while and come back later.  The keyboard is not keeping up.

So I’ve got a lot accomplished today from my sofa.  I now have Cierra back in my garage.  I just picked up Motorcycle coverage on AAA and I got it towed for nothing from Morleys.  They left the battery cover off of it and Jerry at the yard found it.  Roy is going to pick it up tomorrow for me.  Here are some pictures of the damage:

So the coolest thing, no scratches on the gas tank.  No damage on the front of her.  So it really isn’t so bad.  I still can’t seem to figure out what cut me.  It doesn’t look like the break pedal, but who knows.  I’m glad I have her in the garage again.  I felt bad that she was getting cooked in the sun all week.

The other thing I got done today was I learned how to submit a request to American Airlines to get a refund rather than a travel voucher.  I called Guzman’s office and they will have a letter ready for me on their letterhead that I can download to them tomorrow.  I found the Credit Card statement that has the ticket number on it.  So I have everything I need.  Let’s hope it’s that easy.

I just have to say that Arlene called me today to see how I was doing.  That was so sweet.

Well I guess that about does it for me again.  Thanks for visiting.  I’ll come back tomorrow.
