#340 Good Morning Friday, April 7, 2017

Hello World,

Seven days into my retirement.  I get my last pay check today.  But I get a BIG one in 2 weeks to pay off my PTO.  That will be amazing!  Met with John Beane yesterday.  He forgot the application I needed so he’ll mail it to me.  I’ve had a very productive 7 days in Retirement.

I have this new app called “Lose It”.  I love it.  I saw it on the news that a guy lost 500 with it.  I can see how that works.  I’ve lost 6 pounds, but I want to lose 10 more.  I want to keep my weight around 130.  This app lets you keep track of calories.  It scans bar codes and that gives me the calorie count and carb count of the foods I eat.  I am convinced that lower carbs is the way to go, but counting calories helps too and this tool helps me keep track.

So yesterday I did the Sit-N-Cycle for 30 minutes and while doing that I did this too:

I’m re-discovering this wonderful app.  I got a real coloring book and pencils from Linda Hanna at work for a retirement gift and I like this app more.  But the real coloring book is OK.  I think I’m too much of a perfectionist though,  The app keeps the color inside the lines which is really cool.  You just touch it and the color fills in.  It’s incredible.  I did this one for my sponsee Jayne:

It is really so much fun!

I’ll be leaving around 1PM today to ride over to Boca Raton with Jerry and Mouse.  Mouse and I’ll be sharing a room for the Quarterly.  It’s really nice not to worry about working around “work”.  It is so much more relaxing.  I even rode BB to the “Cookie” meeting last night and I was so happy riding home at 9:15.  It was a beautiful night to ride.  I may ride her to the meeting this morning at 8 and then to Yoga at 9:30.  I haven’t checked the weather but it’s a little chilly this morning.  62 degrees.  The weather app says it’s to be sunny today, so I guess that is my answer.

I think I’ll get going now.  I may come back later.  I want to get my stuff together for the trip to Boca.  I’m excited about this Quarterly, it’s the first one I’m going to in retirement and I am not going to think about going to work because I don’t HAVE to.  It’s a new world of excitement.
