Good Morning Saturday, October 25, 2014

Hello Everyone,

Well today is the start of a 3 day weekend for me.  I’m taking Monday off rather than Friday because of the Corrections Picnic.  I figure I can use Monday to “wrap it up” since it is supposed to be really nice tomorrow and I think I’ll get pretty tired being out in the fresh air and sunshine all day.  Imagine that!  Anyway, that’s the plan.

I ruined my laminating machine this morning.  I was trying to laminate a legal size flyer and I put it in the wrong way and it wrapped around the inside of the machine.  I kept wondering why it wasn’t coming out right and I finally figured it out, but not until it had disappeared into the machine.  I’ve had that laminator for about 10 years, so it has had a good life.  Now I’ll need to get another one.  I use it all of the time, so I now have an excuse to go to the Office Supply Store.  Of course I should go to Best Buy or Walmart, but sometimes it is just easier to go to the Office Supply store since I know just where they have them.  If for some reason they are “out”, I’ll go somewhere else.  But I may try Walmart first, since I’m thinking it would probably be cheaper.  I’m disappointed that I wrecked the machine, but instead of trying to “fix it” I just tossed it.  I don’t think it would ever be able to be fixed once the plastic is wrapped around the heat element.  So disappointed.  I loved that little machine!

The plan this morning is to meet Jackie and a few others on our motorcycles and then we are riding to Bonita to a 10 AM Woman’s meeting.  It is supposed to be a beautiful day today.  After that I’m going to go to the Intergroup Office and pick up the Gratitude Ticket packets.  I think I’ll make up a few new packets that I can recycle ticket numbers into.  We’ll need to do that as I think the office is running low on tickets.  I think I’ll do that now.  I can at least make up one more pack with what I have at home here.

I’m getting excited about the Corrections Picnic tomorrow too.  The weekend is supposed to be fantastic an I’m looking forward to it.  Started laundry already and going to move my computer from the dining room table to my desk so I start using it in there.  My brother and his wife are coming to visit and I’m thinking about how the house looks when it is just me here.  I’d like to clear off the dining room table so it isn’t so “messy”.  We’ll see.  I’m hoping the wireless signal will work to the printer in the dining room from the den.  Another project!

Gotta get going.  Have a beautiful day today!

I’ve discovered that my laptop can print wirelessly from the den. Life is good!

Bill said you’d better get that dining room table cleaned off…we will actually be using it for what it is made for! Seriously, you should see our dining room table…2 lap tops & all that goes with it.

I moved the laptop to the desk. Now when I have both computers on, I forget which one is which and use the mouse for the wrong one. So today, I’m only turning on the laptop and that solves the problem. So funny!

Wondering why I never bought a laminating machine. I’ve GOTTA get one…but I have nothing to laminate. Surely there is SOMETHING around here that is begging to be laminated. But I am at a loss. So maybe I WON’T go buy one. HA! “There IS A Solution” (That will be title–Chapter TWO in my new book–grin!)

Why is reading your daily blog interesting to me? I have wondered. It is like reading a chapter each day–A DAY IN THE LIFE OF–in a book about another human. It validates the fact that we humans are really a LOT alike. Also NOT alike. It is the following of an actual “thought process” in some ways, and realizing, “Hey, I think that way also.” This and that, here and there, maybe yes, maybe no, then again, more shall be revealed. HA! I THINK LIKE THAT!!!
And prob everyone else does also.

Bottom line, Mary, I applaud you for–literally (pun intended)–opening your thought process to us, whoever “us” is.

So thanks! And congratulations for taking a diversionary day off from blogging. What do we say, “There are no musts”? And yet, well…sometimes, there ARE!
    Bye
