Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #24

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is Monday, January 7, 2019. I watched most of the Golden Globe awards last night. I wanted Lady Gaga to win best actress, but she didn’t do that, although her title song did win best song. So I guess she still has a chance to win an Oscar. We can hope for that. I loved “A Star Is Born”. It was great and Bradley Cooper was pretty great also.

Yesterday I got a call from Mike Belyea which I was expecting because we were going to check on a date for the Unity Luncheon. I had emailed and texted him and hadn’t heard anything so when he called me that wasn’t a surprise. What was a surprise however, was that he told me he had to pick up a white chip last week. I was so surprised and disappointed because I was really looking forward to working with him as the Chair of District 20. Now Robert Crowe will be the chair. Which is OK with me because Robert and I are good friends too having worked together at Moorings Park for a lot of years. It disappoints me because I really thought Mike had a good, strong program, but as we say alcoholism is “cunning, baffling, powerful”! So onward. Things work out as they do for a reason. Anyway, February 17th will be the Unity Luncheon.

Now I need to work up a flyer!

Now I have a couple of pictures I wanted to put into the blog. Leftovers from my trip to Collier-Seminole State Park, last week and one from Bill and Cathy. First the family picture:

The Whole “Fam Damlie”

So this picture is a FAKE. Bill took a picture of he and Cathy and me last September at the sign, and figured he could insert me into the original family portrait that was take 3 years ago at Yellowstone. I was supposed to go on this trip with them, but I had my motorcycle accident and so I had to cancel. I had a credit toward a plane ticket, but that was the year (September 2017) that IRMA hit and I had to cancel. So in 2018, I decided at the last minute to fly out on the credit airline ticket to see them in Yellowstone. Well, the credit was no longer valid – past the date – so i had to pay full price for the ticket. Thank goodness I had Aunt Pat’s money so it wasn’t all that painful. So when I was out there in September 2018, we took a similar picture at the Yellowstone sign. So Bill was able to insert my image into the old picture of everyone, so now I am in the picture also. Pretty cool. It looks pretty real!

So when I went camping last week, there were a couple of other pictures I wanted to add to the blog. First one is of my breakfast:

Moms in the Morning

I had this breakfast every morning. It was great! Then there was a picture of my camp in the morning:

Morning Camp

The pictures are not behaving, but after a few tries, I got it to work right. It had rained the night before and everything was wet. But I’m loving the way Olivi@ keeps “clean”. I couldn’t tell she was dirty at all when I got home. All I did was use my “KISS” and just cleaned off the fenders and windows and she looks clean as a whistle. That is so super. I had trouble backing her up again into the garage and finally got her in her spot so I could get Otis in there with her, so now I’m ready for my next adventure which is in February. Oh, before I forget, here is another picture of the brazen squirrels at the park. This one was on my picnic table:

This gives you a little feel for what was surrounding me at the camp ground. There were some BIG Campers in the spaces near me. But people were very excited to see Olivi@. They took pictures of her and wanted to see how she worked etc. It was really fun to know people liked her. I saw a Micro Minnie Winnie and an RPod there. Also there were some RoadTreks.

Squirrel

So now I’m having trouble adding a “block” to type in so I guess it’s time to stop this blog. I hear the laundry being finished anyway and it’s time for lunch, so off I go.
Thanks for visiting. I’ll get this thing one way or another to cooperate. Thanks
for visiting. See you next time!
