Welcome COVID-19 Warriors. Day #177 for me. Day 37 in my 50in50in50 – made it to South Carolina in the 319 today. Life is moving on. Bill and Cathy are moving out of Yellowstone – down the mountain today. They still have about 6 more weeks to work. They now are collecting all of the computers in the park and will store them away for the winter. Then it starts all over again next April, May or June – depending on the COVID thing. I’m looking forward to their return!
SO a couple of things have happened this week. First I got to my first doctor’s appointment – for my eyes. Found out I have cataracts. So the doctor said I can have them removed and I will be able to see again. That makes me feel better about my sight. My appointment was in Benson and I didn’t need to go to Sierra Vista and it didn’t cost me anything. That was cool. I decided to cancel my trim to Kartchner next week. It’s going to be too hot so I didn’t want to go there and have to stay in Daisy with the A/C on. My next trip is in mid October to Dead Horse Ranch State Park and then Cottonwood. I invited Susan to drive down in her JEEP to meet me for this trip and then I wouldn’t need to tow OTIS2. Not sure how that will work out. I also signed up for an RVING WOMEN rally at Catalina State Park on the last weekend in October (Sister’s By The Sea weekend and Halloween). I may cancel the first trip and just do the RVW trip instead. I don’t want to do too many trips each month. But the one to Catalina is really only an hour and 1/2 from here so doesn’t count as a big trip. Time will tell. More will be revealed!
SO I sold my kitty door, but not without controversy. So here it is again:
I was contacted by a woman who was a paramedic out of town. She was interested in it but then I didn’t hear from her again. I did mention (and this is all on me) that I would hold it for her, but I got contacted today by someone who could stop by today and pick it up. So I sold it to them. Well, the first girl wasn’t happy to say the least. I did let her know that it wasn’t available any longer. SO she’s been swearing at me by messenger and she does have a right to be angry. I’m just glad I didn’t give her any info about where to pick it up. I’m just glad I live in a gated community. I apologized over and over again to her – I’m hoping it’s over but I guess we’ll find out. Anyway, the couple that bought it were very nice and they ride Harleys. Small world.
So I was walking around this morning waiting for my buyers and saw this:
It is the biggest bush of Lantana I’ve ever seen. It’s beautiful. Things do grow well here. I should try it. My neighbor Dave stopped by today with this:
It’s the biggest Zucchini I’ve ever seen. WOW! Now I just need to figure out what to do with it. I may just use it for dipping into my Hummus. I could roast it on my grill. I don’t know – I’ll let you know what I decide. I might look up a casserole for it.
SO I guess that is about it for now. I’ve just received an email that there is going to be a Group Conscience for the 319 tonight at 10 Eastern (7 my time thankfully). I’d never make a 10PM meeting but I can make this one. I guess Longmire will just have to wait. More will be revealed.
