Today is Saturday, December 14th! Today it’s all about:
Working at Intergroup! Thank you for your service! Miss you guys!
So I am finding with this new life, that I really enjoy the lack of responsibility. In Naples, I always had things to do, places to go, but really it was just so familiar that I took it for granted a lot. I’m finding out here that little things excite me since there is no real responsibility and I’m not hooked in to the community like I was in Naples. That gives me a real sense of FREEDOM:
This tattoo was done in Phoenix when I was at the International Women’s Conference with Debbie Daniels and her sister. So yesterday during my interview with Vivian from Yellowstone, she mentioned tattoos needed to be covered. So I guess I’ll be wearing long sleeves most days:
I got this tattoo on “International Tattoo Day” with Bette and Suzan. It is much bigger than I wanted, but as we all know, once it’s on that’s it! No going back! So there it is!
As far as the interview is concerned, she was willing to hire me, but the deal breaker will be if there is no site for Daisy and the girls and me. They don’t have the budget for hiring yet from “Corporate” so this was just preliminary but it lasted 45 minutes and I think it went well. She seemed nice and Cathy and Bill know her and they like her, so that’s a plus. I’ll keep you posted on that.
So back to FREEDOM. Since there isn’t much for me to do here but walk, ride the bike and hang out in Daisy, I’ve started reading a book I borrowed from the library here. It happens to be about an ALF (Assisted Living Facility) in Tucson. So it’s really great – it’s fiction but really good. So now I’m reading to keep myself busy. Haven’t done that much in Naples. There is also a library in Benson that I want to join so I can go there and get books. I’m going to suggest that Lily read this one – I think she’ll enjoy it. (BTW – Lily called me for my birthday – a day late – she does that every year since I’ve been retired – I keep wondering when she’ll finally retire).
Time to take the trash out. I’ll be back later. It’s supposed to get up to 73 today. We’ll see – it’s 55 now and it’s 9:45 AM.
