RV Life with DAISEE2 #105 Wednesday, August 28, 2024

Good Morning Everyone! Yesterday we had a fantastic sunset!

It is still HOT AS HELL here, but we’ve had a couple of cooler mornings where we can sit outside in the morning to enjoy coffee. Not today – it’s already 90 and that is too hot! I’m leaving one week from today to go to the GRAND CANYON with RVW. It is going to be dry camping so I can’t bring Metaxa which makes me sad, but she is better off being here. We’re going to be away from the rig quite a bit also, so it’s better that she stay home. I’ll miss her though!

One year ago TODAY I was having my “walk through” with DAISEE2 with Zach:

I can’t believe I’ve had her for 1 full year. I just love this rig. I did love my BF but this one is pretty damn cool too. I especially like the back bed so I don’t have to climb up a ladder to go to bed and the bathroom is 1 step away for those middle of the night nature calls! I also found this cool video when we were at Big Lake a couple of years ago:

You can see DaisyBF in the background!

Starting this again on Thursday, August 29th. I’ve been watching some YouTube videos about the Grand Canyon and I’m getting excited about that trip now. Like I said, Metaxa is going to stay home because I am dry camping and I can’t trust the weather being cool enough to not need air conditioning.

This was a picture I took that shows the Colorado River at the bottom of the canyon that I took when I was at the canyon with my girlfriends. Remember this:

This was Raptor Ranch. It was the strangest little place. They built a “Flinstones City (Bedrock City) and it was free for people staying at the place. Here is a picture of me in “JAIL”!

Beginning this again on Saturday, August 31st.  Only 4 more days until I leave for the Grand Canyon.  So excited and happy to be leaving this HEAT.  Here are the temps next week:

The important temperature to note is the overnight temps.  Great sleeping and nice cool down at night.

This puzzles only took 2.5 hours. It was really fun!

I found this really great tour of the Grand Canyon. It shows every view point along the south rim. We’ll take the shuttle bus to each point. Should take all day!

We had our first real monsoon storm today. Here are 2 videos I took:

Beginning this again on Tuesday, August 3rd. Tomorrow is the day we leave for The Grand Canyon. I’m looking forward to going, but I’ll miss not having Metaxa with me. We now have 9 women going. It might be more fun with a couple of others so I’m glad that is happening.

I’m headed out.  I’ll start a new blog #106 once I get to Ten X.  See you later!
