Good Morning everyone. It’s been a while since I blogged. We’ve been in Tucson for a little more than a month now and things are settling well. Metaxa is still hissing at Odie periodically. There are times when they don’t hiss, but I’m looking forward to the time when they just ignore one another. It’s been a source of anxiety for me. Jack isn’t happy when Metaxa hisses either. Odie comes out mostly in the late afternoon and night. I think he is just curious about her, but she doesn’t like him all that much – YET. Maybe in another month or so, she’ll just ignore him. Let there be peace!
I got a new bike:
It is an amazing little bike. I can lift it onto the bike rack so that will be great when we go camping again. When I went biking the other day around the neighborhood, a cayote walked right in front of me. An URBAN Cayote!!! Anyway, I stopped and took a picture of it.

I fell off of it yesterday. It slipped off the sidewalk and down I went. Fortunately, nothing broke – bike or me. I have a black eye and skin tears on both elbows and knees. But all is well. I’m just a little stiff today. That is good too!

So I was trying to count up how many motorcycles I’ve had in the 8 years I’ve been riding them. This is the first one:
It was too big for me. This is me behind the old “Brown Bag”. I think it is a Yamaha 850? Too big and heavy, but I ended up selling it to a guy at Moorings Park. Then I bought “RED”.
This was a Honda Shadow. After I had this for a while I traded it in for this:

Then I bought a Harley Davidson Sportster from a guy in Naples:

I never thought I’d be able to afford a Harley. Can’t remember how much I paid for it, but it was a beauty until………

I now remember the family was supposed to meet up in Yellowstone at that time. I didn’t make it. But I did go back a couple of years later and we took a picture so I could be “photo shopped” into the picture:

So then this was my last Harley Davidson:

I think Jack counted up 14 different motorcycles in his life. This is his current one:

It’s on the market now. He wants to get a “project” hotrod. So we’ve retired from motorcycling. I suppose I should think about retiring from “biking” too based on my accident yesterday, but I don’t think I’m ready for that yet. I still want to bring a bike camping on the back of Daisy.
I just signed up for storage for Daisy. Only 4 minute drive from the house – 10 minutes by bike. Nice, clean storage business – A Family Discount Storage. There are many of them in Tucson. I feel really blessed that I was able to snag a place at this one, just down Speedway from our house. Life is good. Daisy will be in Tucson on the 7th of June. I then might be able to rent out the slab next to my house to someone needing a place and electric hook up. That is one way to get a little money coming in each month.
Went to an in-person meeting yesterday for the first time in 2 years. I was thinking I’d be more active once I got to Tucson. It’s a nice clubhouse and the meeting is everyday at 9:30AM. That’s a good time. They are having the Arizona State Convention – 72nd one.

I might try to go to it. We’ll see – time will tell.
