Good Morning Easter, April 5, 2015

Hello World,

It’s Easter!

So I’ll be going to church today and later I’ll be going over to Heather and Ralph’s.  I’ve made an Easter Basket for them and their cat:

It occurs to me that I don’t ever recall making an Easter Basket.  I may be wrong, but having been in the restaurant business, holidays were never celebrated in the usual fashion as it was usually a “money making” day.  That is why I never really care about holidays too much.  Then when I got divorced, I never had any reason to make up a basket, so yesterday while I was shopping for groceries at Walmart, I decided to make up a basket for Ralph & Heather since they are so nice to include me in their day today.

Another image I saved yesterday was of Winston:

Love that dog!  He comes to Moorings Park and keeps our residents happy.  He is such a happy dog!  He belongs to Mary and Ben.  It’s interesting how our lives connect sometimes!

Ben has been to Moorings Park also as part of The Blu-Tones.  So as big as Naples can be sometimes (like when I’m driving from my house to Doug & Dick’s), it can also be small and very connected.  Perhaps that has something to do with the wide reaching AA community – who knows.  I just know I’m glad my life is as it is and as it should be.

I’m going to end this now.  I’ve decided to go for a walk so I get near 10000 steps today.  Yesterday I didn’t get even half way there.  Too much time in the house I guess.  I’ll probably go to the Greenway also today.  Have a wonderful Easter and thanks for visiting!

(smiling) Had to smile. Your rediscovering how “normal people” celebrate Easter woke me again to realize, “So THAT’S how it’s done in the ‘real’ world”! You make what might be a normal day-off and holiday combination, a real living, loving, giving event.

Then…this interconnecting of people, like threads of embroidery…oh! my…more smiles! Indeed, God is the Master Weaver of the Universe and all it’s billions of people. Strikes me that, in order to fulfill God’s intention–work–ya gotta “get out there” and DO IT! A hermit has none of those, indeed, pleasures of the heaven-on-earth type except to boil in his own stew. See the messages you send, through your daily doings, Mary? EXQUISITE, my dear!
Thanks for posting today. Happy Easter!

Bill says y’all did make Easter baskets as kids. You used the same 3 baskets each year. Happy Easter! Enjoy the day!

I knew we had them as kids – I just never had one as a “grown up” – what ever that means! :-)!
