Good Morning July 23, 2014

Hello Everyone,

Today is Wednesday.  I love those ads about “Hump Day” and Wednesday will always remind me of those ads.  I have a standing joke at work with a friend that begins the day asking each other “What Day Is It?” and then I send her funny pictures of camels.  Sometimes life can be so simple – reminds me of High School.

Speaking of High School…….my 45th reunion is next month.  I’m travelling to Connecticut to attend it.  I’m thinking already that it will probably by my last reunion that I’ll attend.  Of course, you never know – I may change my mind about that because there is something exciting about the year “50”.  But I don’t know, High School was never very exciting or successful to me in my mind.  I didn’t do very much and didn’t have many friends, but then again, I still have the close friends (the Beaches Girls) I’ve always had.  Life is interesting.

The trip to Connecticut is going to be double duty.  I’ll attend the Reunion events, but also I’m staying with my cousin Dick and his partner Doug.  They were the ones that moved Aunt Pat to the Assisted Living Facility two days ago.  They sent a picture that I’ll attempt to find in this computer (that’s a challenge in itself) and they look happy!

Wow – it was in “downloads”, but I know it is somewhere else in this computer which frustrates me to no end.  But anyway there you have it!

So, I’ll visit with Dick and Doug and we’ll probably go visit Aunt Pat.  Jon told me a funny story the other night about a call to Aunt Pat about having received a call from the manager of her place in Mamaroneck.  Something about her parking space so he thought he would give her a call.  So he called her and told her who he was and at the end of the conversation she said “Who are you again?”  Well that should tell you that she is in the right place and this move is perfect for her.  She is now 86 and that in itself shows you that her independence has done her well.  God bless her in her new home!

Time to get ready for work.  Thanks for visiting – all 2 or 3 of you.  I’m looking forward to expanding my on line world.  So we’ll see!
