Yesterday, Jack went into the hospital for a Heart Valve replacement. It was really an intense surgery – it took 7 and 1/2 hours! WOW – that team of Dr. Bose’ must have been exhausted. All I can say is that God was in the room I’m sure. So I was glad that the funeral of Queen Elizabeth was on YouTube to distract me. I’ll be going to see him today after I wake up a little and take a shower. He is in ICU and will be there for 4 or 5 days. I started thinking about how expensive this operation is. With all of the staff hours involved plus all of the machinery to keep him breathing etc, it would be pretty expensive. Good thing there is insurance and Medicare. It should be covered. It will be quite the process I would guess.
So back to MY life! Here are a couple of pictures of Luci the VW. I finally named her!

The other night there was a wonderful sunset:

I follow Eric of Nomadic Fanatic and he has just purchased property up near Show Low. If I were “on the road” that would be where I would look for property – it’s snowy in the winter, but beautiful in the summer which is the most uncomfortable weather for me in AZ. It gets cold in Tucson in the winter, but I’m told (by Jack) that it isn’t as cold as Benson. Anyway, this winter I guess I’ll find out.
Odie and Metaxa are doing OK now. Not always perfect, but pretty good. Here they are sharing the couch:

So Luci would be happy in Benson. Look how much room there is for her!

So since Jack has been in the hospital, Metaxa has been keeping me company when I go to bed. Don’t know if that will continue, but I hope so. The first night Metaxa hissed at Odie and growled a little. But last night that didn’t happen. It’s been 3 nights and last night this happened:

Enjoying a beautiful morning on the front porch!

I was looking at old pictures on Google Photos and found this from 4 years ago when I was at Yellowstone visiting Bill and Cathy. I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee on line from there and so I was ready for my Teardrop TAG.

When I got home from Yellowstone I collected this:
Olivia was so much fun. It was a great way to begin my RVing. But buying Daisee was the best decision I made in a while for this lifestyle. I did enjoy Mama & Papa Bear, but getting DAISEE2 back was amazing. I love her!
When I got the VW and we have to keep it on the driveway, one day it rolled back and I wasn’t aware of it until I hit the Talavera Pot we had on the end of the sidewalk and broke it. It was very sad and sat on the side yard for a long time. I got the great idea to fix it while Jack was in the hospital so yesterday, I went to ACE and bought some liquid nails. So I put it together and now I’ve repurposed it. I think it looks super. I’ll surprise Jack when he gets home. It isn’t perfect and I’m sure Jack would have done a better job, but I broke it so I felt I should fix it. So here it is:

There is one tiny piece I couldn’t get back in. We could file it down and plug the hole, but I think it gives it character. From a distance, you can’t even see the repairs! It looks GREAT in the back yard!
I just hit 100K in Luci~
