Hello World,
So today is FRIDAY! And I have Monday off because it’s PAYDAY today – although I had the money in the bank last night. Now isn’t that interesting. We had a discussion about banking the other day when Jon and Ale were here. Jon said he hadn’t been in a bank in so many years he couldn’t remember the last time. I think I started the conversation because I was talking about closing my Safe Deposit Box. Jon said why would he have one? And I got to thinking, yeah, WHY? It’s just something I’ve always had. I had one down on Fifth Avenue when the corner bank was “Barnett Bank”. Then BOA bought it out. So I moved my box to the BOA next to KMART (which I think is closed now?). So when I was thinking about trading in my car and buying a new one (just the other day if you recall) I wanted to be sure I had my Dupont Stock Certificates so I could sell off a few shares to pay for it. Anyway, those plans are changed – as usual. I’ll keep my little ROSE for a few more years – it’s money in the bank as Dick would say and I’ll still get my quarterly dividend from Dupont which is “play money” for me. So that plan has changed and we are still together!
So now my thing is trading RED in to get a “scooter”. I went by Florida Motor Sports yesterday and checked out the “Honda” scooters. I can trade RED in and get one. Now it’s between the 150CC and the 300CC. I like the weight of the 300CC I think. My RED weighs around 550 pounds. The 300 weighs 422 and the 150 weighs 286. I think I’m inclined to get the bigger one but I want to “test drive” them. The 300 comes in RED which appeals to me. The 150 comes in Black or White. So I’ll look a little more before I make a change. Stay tuned!
SO yesterday after work on my may home I stopped off at Costco to replenish my “Cashews”. (The only place I’ve found to have “unsalted” ones). Anyway, I was looking for a UNIVERSAL remote for our new Direct TV’s for our residents. The remotes they are supplying are complicated. I was trying to find our “in house” station on the new system and couldn’t do it. Couldn’t even figure out how to enter in the numbers for the stations. TODAY I sit down with a guy and take a lesson – I’m frustrated – can you imagine someone with dementia and in their 90’s? Jeeesh!!!!!! Anyway, I looked around the computer stuff (as usual) and saw the cool printer I bought at Office Max for $20 cheaper! Note to self – check Costco before I buy (do they sell scooters?). Anyway, a woman was there trying to decide what printer to get so I told her my story about how I bought the “Envy” and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Here it is:
I wanted a printer that could print pictures on Photo paper. I got more than I needed because it is a copier/fax/scanner/photo printer/web etc. I’m surprised it doesn’t do my laundry! Anyway it is fantastic. I wanted to be able to take pictures and print them up so I could send them to Aunt Pat on photo paper rather than just plain paper. So now my “thing” is, can my extra phone line on my iPhone (I’ve got one for some reason – don’t ask me why) be used as a “FAX” line. I mean the thing is wireless and how would it know? SO BILL BASS – tell me if it can be done (Cathy ask him about that) Let’s SKYPE! But the COOLEST thing about this printer is that there is an APP to access it from my phone so all I have to do is print the pictures from my phone. IT IS GLORIOUS!!!!!! I love it. Plus I think that is what sold the lady at Costco to purchase the ENVY! I’m sure you are all envious of my new toy!
Out of time. Remind me to tell you about the old GV’s I have! Amazing – next time. Thanks for visiting!

Aww…why am I glad you and Rose are not splitting up just yet? (sigh) I just hate “separations, after having more than my share.
YOU are funny…a printer to do laundry. Clothes might come out “smelling like a yellow “Rose”!
TIP: You would be sorry with a 150cc…my opinion, you need more power–not to speed, but–to occasionally avoid collisions. So grateful am I for that extra jolt of power when really needed. (Of course, my driving has much to be desired–maybe.) I DO know FL Motor Sports sure takes good care of ME. (Also, I am a good customer…HA!)
Maybe you can get a scooter at Costco’s which will do your laundry and clean your cat litter boxes?? And…YEP, envious of your printer.Mine is 10 years old, but it DOES all those things, except print pictures right from my Samsung
Well, if I learn nothing more today, it is to shop Costco before making a larger purchase like a scooter, etc. Gotta run! Thanks. Bye!

Hey Steve,
My boss is out of town so I’m responding from work. I think you are right about the bigger scooter. I want to “test” ride it – and I want to do that today, but I have a “thing” to do today after work with a friend on the internet at Intergroup! But maybe Saturday afternoon will work. I’ll call the salesman – I have his card. I’m getting excited about the “new purchase” already. But the problem is that the bigger scooter is over $5 grand. More than I wanted to spend. But with the trade of Red, it could be OK. However only time will tell. I’ll look on Craig’s List too, although “trading in” is easier and “no muss, no fuss” plus there will be a warranty and maybe we could work out financing which would be “doable”. So I obviously need MORE COFFEE! See you later!
