Today is Jennifer’s birthday. I called her this morning as she called me the other day on my birthday. Can you believe we’ve known each other for 60 some years and our birthdays are just 2 days apart. That is SO cool! Anyway, I’m camping (really glamping) today in Amado at a place called De Anza RV Resort. It’s about on hour south of me in Tucson. I’m here with 55 other RVing Women. It’s great! My friends Sue and Genie are here. We met in Williams last year. Sue lives in Green Valley and Genie lives in Santa Fe. We meet up periodically on these RVW weekends. I really love this RVing group. It’s just perfect for me and if Jack and I go camping all the better, but at least I can meet up, take DAISEE2 and Metaxa in my little house on wheels and I’m good to go. So here is the place:

It’s a lot like CT RV but bigger as far as rigs go. It has a nice clubhouse and this is our “Annual” Meeting which will be tomorrow morning at 9:30. We had fried chicken dinner last night – it was pretty bad. I hope our annual dinner is better. Tonight we’re going to watch a movie on the big screen in the “Ballroom”. Metaxa is with me, I’m so glad she is here. She is such good company and she is such a little cuddler on the bed. I LOVE IT! Yesterday, Sue stopped by with her new dog, Ruth or Sally or something and she brought her in to DAISEE2. Metaxa was on the upper bed and her ears went back abit, but she never hissed. I was so proud of her. I took a shower this morning. The first stall had no hot water and I was so bummed, but the other shower was fine so I got my shower in and washed my hair. Felt great! If I was “on my own”, I’d cut my hair – it is such a pain and I use so much more water with this longer hair, but Jack likes it long and so I have long hair now. I do like the look of it, it’s very pretty – thank you mom for the good hair genes!
My furniture arrived on Monday. I LOVE IT! It all fit! Here is the first thing we put up:

So the TV cabinet has been repurposed as the entrance piece:

I need to take other pictures of the other furniture. I still haven’t set up the bookshelf in my room. I did put up the “chatsky” shelf. Not sure I like how I did it, so it may change. I think Jack is pretty tolerant of my “stuff”. I need to get Aunt Mary’s pictures from Benson because they can fit in my bathroom. That way, I won’t need to mail them off to Dick. I changed the top of my dresser. Not as many pictures, but I have a quilt piece that covers up the green dots I don’t like. It’s still a lot busier than Jack’s dresser but it’s a “girl” thing!
I got my TV to work in Daisy today with the antenna. So great. Not that I want to watch TV but it’s good to know that it works. Now I need to remember to lower the antenna when I leave. It’s on the list, but you know how that goes!
Here is an interesting cactus at the entrance to the office here:

When I was setting up my dresser, I wanted a smaller picture of Mom and Dad. This is what it looks like. I gave the bigger one to Bill and Cathy – they stopped by the new place the other day,

I went to Tubac yesterday with Sue and Genie. I found a table cloth and place mats for the table at home. I think they will go ok. We’ll see.
So Sue mentioned that the TV should work with my antenna so I tried it and it worked:

Here is a picture of the campground at De Anza. It’s pretty crowded, but there is a nice view of the mountains out my bathroom window. I’ll get a picture of it this morning on my way to the Annual Meeting.

There were some awesome views of the mountains – Santa Rita Mountains – around this park.

Here it is over the building during the day:

So on Saturday night, we had a group dinner in the “ballroom”. It was also where we watched “Spirited” on Friday night. So this event had lots to do. The movie was pretty cute. Will Farrell and Ryan Reynolds. It was a remake of “A Christmas Carol”. I don’t need to see it again though. Anyway, after the dinner – which was much improved over the fried chicken of Thursday night – we had a gift exchange. After dinner I had decided not to go to it, but Jack talked me into it and I ended up going. It took a LONG time to get through it, but I’m glad I went:

This is what I won:

I originally thought it was too big for Daisy, but when I brought it back to her, it matched the wallpaper and looks fine in the corner of the counter behind the stovetop. Someone suggested putting cat food in it. Which I think is a pretty good idea. I left it on the counter for the trip back to Tucson and it stayed there so I don’t need to put it away. At least I hope I don’t have to do that, but it could fit in the sink if necessary.
Continuing this on Monday, December 12, 2022. I’ve got all of my boxes emptied (Except 2 that are old family pictures and shells that are in my closet). This is what we have so far:

Now I feel really moved in. I haven’t taken pictures of the bedroom – I should do that. We just haven’t hung the Vallez prints yet, nor the mirror of the liquor cabinet. But it looks pretty good now:

Once the mirror gets installed, Jack will have a nice mirror view of the mountains from his desk. I love that oversized window in the bedroom and the view of the mountains is just spectacular!
I’m starting again on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. We’re going to Benson today so Jack can attend his last HOA meeting. I’m going to clean out the house AGAIN. Cathy said she would help. It snowed in Benson the other day. If it was rainy today it would almost be snowing here. This is my temperature today:

We put up another piece of art today. It’s Jack’s Lasso!

I’m really happy with the way the house looks. It’s a good mix of me and Jack. I think it turned out great. We ordered a little sculpture with a Texas Star in the middle to put over the TV. I hope it turns out to be cool. At least it looks pretty cool on Amazon.

We have a real one outside on the back wall. Once I get my Aunt Mary pictures here, we’ll be done. We just need to hang the bedroom pictures up. All of the hardware to do that is in Benson so we’ll pick that up today.
Ok. I’m going to close this one out now. Thanks for visiting. Come back again!
