Good Morning Everyone!
So what’s on my mind today? Just thinking about going to Miami for the Quarterly I guess. I’m driving over with Heather and Ralph so I don’t need to get lost in Miami. It’s interesting to think about using a GPS. I still think you need a map of some type since sometimes it gets it wrong and if you are lost in Miami, it’s hard to figure out where you are. But that’s one thing I’m not going to suffer with, since Ralph knows where he is going since he works over there all the time.
Also thinking about my trip back to Connecticut. Again, I’m going to rely on others to drive me places. It will be interesting to see everyone. It’s a little nerve wracking, but I know I’ll just go with it and enjoy the moment. At least that’s what we’re taught in our program. If I remember that, I’ll be fine – but remembering that is the rub!
It occurs to me that I created this website to talk about the adventures of my cats and so far, there hasn’t been much about them and it’s been all about me. Such an EGO! But then again, I’ve been told that it’s good to get your thoughts down on “paper” so this is my way of doing that. I’ve always loved to type and my handwriting has become really lazy and bad. I can’t imagine trying to teach handwriting any longer and I’ve heard that it has gone by the wayside in schools now. It’s a shame.

Back to the cats: My AADD is kicking in today. Coffee is not waking me up today. Although I walked 8492 steps yesterday – a far cry from the 1840 the day before. Now I’ve learned to keep my phone with me all day and it counts my steps all day long. I went to the gym yesterday also after work. Thursdays seem to be a good day to do that. So far, Thursdays and Sundays may become a “habit” except for the 3rd Thursday of the month when I have the Grapevine Monthly Meeting.
Back to the cats again! They are such creatures of habit. Every morning Wylie jumps around beginning anywhere from 4:30 AM to 5:15 AM so it gets me up. I shower and then go to the kitchen to feed them (25 steps). I start with Wylie and she gets a 1/4 of a can of those little cans of “Fancy Feast”. Next is little Metaxa, she gets a little less than a 1/4 can and then Domino gets 1/4 can plus the little bit I took away from Metaxa. Finally the last 1/4 can goes to Wylie. She is such a little pig. She eats so fast and then starts eating Metaxa’s food, so that is why I give her the other 1/4 can (which used to be for Bamboo when she was alive) – so Wylie gets the most food. Many times Domino will throw it up right after he eats, but then he can have the hard food that is always available. Life with cats!
This one is really rambling – sorry about that. Maybe things will be a little more focused tomorrow. Have a great day today!
