Good Morning World,
So yesterday was Cinco di Mayo. Did you know this is a “Mexican” celebration day? Don’t wish a “Cuban” Happy Cinco di Mayo! Who knew! I thought it was an “Hispanic” celebration day! I was told! Funny!
Got the greatest video on FB this morning. It was a video by a drone taking pictures of our beautiful Naples Beaches on a beautiful, sunny SW Florida day. I liked it because it was of all of the Naples Beaches I’ve gone to. I’m planning to take the girls there next March when they come for “Beaches” in Naples in 2016. Here is a link to the the website where there are lot’s of videos like this apparently. I haven’t “tested” it yet – maybe later: http://swfltv.com/archives/category/activities/beaches-activities.
Apparently, large cats like to sleep on their backs occasionally. Case in point: Harley Dude vs. Domino:
Harley Dude belongs to Polly Whiting. I had two cats that were “Tuxedo” cats years ago. Let me see if I can find a picture of them – I know I can take a picture of a picture.
I’ve loved all of my cats through the years – how can you NOT. Anyway when I was first divorced I was feeling a little lonely and depressed so I was at the vet with “BOB” (my little lilac point siamese) and there were 2 little kittens that needed a new home so I brought them home with me. I named them John and James because at the time I was working at The Community School of Naples (CSN) and those were the men I worked for and since they were males, I named them for those guys. Johnny died first and Jamesy died the day that Domino was brought home. This picture of them is cute. They always played together and they loved being right in the middle of things – especially on the desk. Look at that OLD COMPUTER! I still have that same cup holding my pens and the desk is the same. But now I have other cats sprawling out on it:
Well, time is up for today. Have a beautiful day and thanks for visiting!

“Cinco de Mayo”
Day of the Battle of Puebla, May 5, 1862, The Mexican Army in an unlikely scenario defeated the French. So it is NOT a Cuban-Latin-Spanish event for celebration, as I also had thought. Yet, it seems that for years here in SW FL, residents have taken in stride the celebration across national lines of pride. E.g., almost everyone here celebrates OUR OWN Fourth of July. (1776)
The video of Naples beaches taken from a drone as pictured on your FB Timeline) captured my imagination. One day we can “send the drone” out for marketing, to pick up prescriptions, and maybe even a drone could visit friends, pick up children from school, possibly do our workouts at the gym. R2D2 is his name!!!
Cats, Cats, Cats!!! Tuesday night at a friend’s house, one of his two cats would not leave me alone–wanted to go home with me. I said, “Kitty, we hardly ‘know’ one another. Maybe we could start out just by having coffee at Starbucks? Or lunch in the dark–I MEANT “PARK” Sheeeesh…I’m not a slut, ya know–Meeyoww, grin!
I better pick up my marbles and go home. HEY…WHERE did my marbles go!
Enjoyed the visit. Have a NICEST day, Mary!
