Good Morning Everyone,
Today is FLAG DAY!
My Flag is out.
So also, today is an exciting day in the life of our church – FCC and The Current. We’re having a wedding! Now that it is legal to marry same sex partners in Florida, Jamie and Lynn are “tying the knot”. I think I’ve mentioned them before in this blog. They discovered our church after they were “asked” to leave another church because of their lifestyle choice. Jamie was pregnant with their 2 wonderful children, so we welcomed them in with open arms. Lynn is also our vice moderator. She works for the City of Naples at River Park Center and runs “the joint”. She is “borrowing” chairs and tables from there so we have enough seating at their wedding. It has turned into a BIG wedding. All kinds of family members are coming in for the wedding from all over the country. Everyone is so EXCITED – me too!
We knocked down walls and opened up the space so we could accommodate the tables and chairs. We used all of our chairs and all of Jamie’s chairs. Here are some pictures of the transformed space:
I love the lighting in there. I have a couple of pictures showing the chandeliers that are left from the piano store. They look awesome too. Let me get them:
Anyway, it’s gonna be an exciting day. I’ll probably stay to the “bitter end” so we can clean up the place – I wonder if anyone thought about that! Certainly we can’t expect the Bride and Bride to do that! More shall be revealed.
I have to get going now. Got new hair yesterday and need to try to make it look good for the wedding!
Have a wonderful FLAG/WEDDING DAY! Thanks for visiting.

Saw very few flags flying Sunday. Whole county needs a reminder, a “Mary-minder” Maybe next year–I’m thinking a “flag MONTH”…
Pictures (of the Current) DO say thousand words–in such short time, y’all got it going Big-Time. Sometimes, with large functions–like the “magical” wedding..churches find new people filling chairs at regular Sunday services, b/c they liked what happened there, what they saw–the happy people!
Well, now we all have the gift of another week–it’s Monday,
“Start Where You Are” Day

I’d love to see some excited new people at The Current. It will be great if we grow the church from where we are now. Time will tell and of course it’s always God’s plan.
