#243 Good Morning Tuesday, August 18, 2015

Good Morning World,

So I got home yesterday from work and I have a brand new beautiful white mailbox at my driveway.  I have no idea who installed it but I guess that doesn’t really matter.  Now I don’t need to worry about replacing it.  That is a good thing.

Tonight is our monthly “Grapevine” meeting.  I just got the Box 459 that states that “over 57,000” AA members, family and friends made it to Atlanta.  I think I’ll post that on the FB page.  There is a “contest” going on.  Be right back……

I’m still debating where to hang this picture.  Right now it is on top of my dresser waiting for a decision.  I kind of like it there, but I know I’ll hang it “one of these days”.  The two places I’ve picked out are “up high” and will require using the rickety wooden ladder I have in the garage brought into the house and then the measuring of where it should go so it is “perfectly” lined up etc., etc., so it sits on the dresser and will be there for a while longer I suppose.

So I told you that Red2 got her first oil change thanks to my friend Steve E.  I rode her to church on Sunday and as I was leaving Trader Joe’s (got to get my fix of chocolate covered Almonds – addicted!) there was a guy “admiring” Red.  My comment to him was “you know you want one!”.  It was funny and we had a wonderful conversation about scooters vs Harley’s.  He had noticed my “bell” on the underside and I told him the story of the “road gremlins”.  He asked me about the “clutch” and I said “no clutch” – it’s “automatic” (although I misspoke and said “electric”).  He was all excited about it.  Hope he gets one.  I’m looking forward to the fall and being able to ride without worry of rain storms and the “coolness” of the air is such a wonderful experience.  I told my “new friend” that it was the “best thing” I’ve done for myself in a long time and I really mean that.  I’m always so “cautious” about doing stuff like that – always afraid to “spend money”, but now that I’ve bought Red2 and Ty, I’m done for a while.  But I couldn’t be happier with both of them.  I’m so grateful for my new car too – yesterday I had no concerns driving through a terrible rain storm in my “new car”.  It handles so well.  I’m taking Ty in for his first 5,000 check up on Saturday.  It is covered in my maintenance agreement – free oil change and tire rotation.  So things are really GRAPE in my house.  New mailbox, new scooter, new car!  Life is good!  Have a beautiful day today.  thanks for visiting!

I wonder if you noticed a slightly “bumpier” ride on Red2 Sunday. I realized as soon as I left FL Motor Sports that tires might have needed inflating, so they did THAT! You might consider checking tires every month or two I have a small air compressor which you can borrow any time…it needs a power outlet to work.

OH, I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it..ref. picture sitting on dresser-top!

Hard to believe you have 5,000 miles on Ty already…Maintenance Agreements sound expensive, but they sure pay for themselves–and ya get stuff done w/o having to figure What, Which, and When?

Hey I’m talking beyond the 2-minute limit, so….Bye!

I would love to have you help me with the inflation of my tires on RED2 next time. I always forget about that. I appreciate it that you had them check the tire pressure. I’m going to have them rotate my tires on Saturday too when they change the oil! You have to remember, there was 2000 on TY when I bought him.
