Good Morning Everyone,
I haven’t posted since last Saturday. I’ve been busy and haven’t had a lot to journal about. It is Saturday and I’m doing my Saturday morning thing today – laundry, cleaning the house etc. I heard thunder this morning so it might rain early today. That would be nice. Makes me want to stay in and do some things around the house that need to be done.
On my second cup of coffee already. I make a pot of coffee on Saturdays and Sundays with Hazelnut Coffee. I love Hazelnut Coffee. So I drink the whole thing.
It has now gotten sunny out, so I can’t tell what is going to happen with the weather today. I don’t need to take the “left overs” to St. Matt’s today so I’ve got the day free. I’m trying to use a “steam mop” I’ve had for a while at my house but I’m not sure it is working. I usually use a “swifer” mop but I’m not thinking that it really works all that well for deep cleaning. So I thought this steam mop would work, but I don’t think it is working correctly. I have it plugged in but it doesn’t seem to work right. I think I’ll go to Walmart and try to find something that would work. I don’t know how long this steamer takes to be “on”. It’s been plugged in for about 2o minutes and isn’t working I don’t think. I don’t have the “directions” for it any longer so I guess it’s time to “go shopping”. Maybe I’ll “google” it. I might find something interesting.
Yesterday was 9/11. So I put my flag out and posted a few things on Facebook about it. People were writing about where they were when it happened. I know I was still working in the restaurant and couldn’t take my eyes off the TV in our bar that day. What an incredible thing to happen in Manhattan. I really can’t imagine what an impact that had on so many people. Read about a dog (a Golden Retriever) that went in and rescued a lot of people and survived after 3 trips into the building before it collapsed. I remember watching the towers fall. It’s a memory I probably will never forget.
I’m trying to get Domino’s claws trimmed. They are so sharp now that I’m afraid he may hurt his siblings when they have some arguments. My neighbor Claudia has offered to help hold him, but I’m not sure that is going to work. I think the best thing is to get him into a carrier and then take him to the vet. Even that is a difficult challenge. Well I’m sure I’ll figure it out one of these days.
I think I’ll get rolling now. I might go to Common Solutions this morning. We’ll see. If the weather is good, I’ll ride my scooter. But then I might go to Walmart first and buy the steam mop and then go to The Brown Bag. I know I’ll get to a meeting at some point today since I’ll be at the Naples Group. I have all the cookies for tonight.
Back from Walmart: Bought the Mop. It works like a charm:
Floor has never been so clean! And it’s very lightweight and simple to use.
So thanks for visiting. Have a beautiful day!

On hands and knees is how I always clean floors! Word “always” makes it sound as if they’re always CLEAN..NOT so! But I can say that a steam-mop is in the future of this household, like…MONDAY? smiles
The twin towers falling was–for me–the most remarkable horribleness of the whole 9/11 scene (aside from individual chaos and catastrophe). It was like a great hellish choreography, as if planned, rehearsed.
You need a “paw-claw-clip-lady” (or man) to “do” the cats. Burt’s front paws were de-clawed…and I’ve been sorry ever since, I think he is just missing out on some “cat-fun”. Like playing outside in the yeard, without it being a life-or-death situation.
Hey! I’ve written more that the BLOG-OWNER here. Time to stop.
LOTS of stuff coming up, Mary. Enjoy it all.
