I’m waking up to the reality of another terrorist attack in Paris. I posted this on FB today:

Also reminded that this happened on Friday the 13th! That puts another “spin” on the planning and execution of the acts! What is it about this type of thing that effects all, but stays at arms length too. In this digital age with 24 Hour News and technology pushing out updates every few minutes, we continually get bombarded with awful news. I should really eliminate some of the apps I have (SmartNews, CNN) that keep me informed all day long with text messages and teasers about heinous acts all over the world. Why do I subject myself to this invasion of my serenity? I’m addicted! I like to be informed. I watch the news (just the NBC news and local news) but occasionally I watch the NewsHour. No FOX news though. None of that 24 hour news (fortunately my TV channels don’t have those stations). I just changed my profile picture to my peace sign. I tried to “crop” it but it was as small as it could be and is a little off center, but it will do for a while. I’ll see if I can make it better later.
Today we are doing our “BlueZones” rally at North Naples Regional Park. I’m not sure what to expect and can’t remember the time it’s starting, but I’m planning to go on Red2 like I said yesterday. I haven’t checked the weather but the temperature this AM is 72. That is NICE! I don’t see any showers in this area, there are some over on the East coast.
I guess that is about all for today. I’ve got to get going on my laundry and other things around the house. Have a beautiful weekend! Pray for Paris!
