Good Morning Bill and Cathy and the world and beyond,
Yesterday I forgot that I had a hair appointment so I got my call from Karen and she fit me in at 3:20PM. It was good of her because she is going away for 5 days for Christmas and it wouldn’t have been until much later in January when she could fit me in. So that was a GOOD thing. Anyway, this gave me a little time before I needed to be at “set up” for the Saturday night meeting so I went to the beach! It was amazing – I need to go there more often and I vow to do that:
I need to remember this beach – it is at North Lake Beach! There are 3 benches there so plenty of space to sit and meditate! It was a wonderful way to finish the day. I’ll be doing that more often now – or so I say. Time will tell!
It has finally gotten cooler! Today is:
But as you can see it is short lived. I love the 70’s!
Two things happened to me on Friday that I believe have changed my life. This was the first thing that I saw on Friday. 2006 – Eat, Pray, Love! Elizabeth Gilbert. This is amazing! It has validated my life and I am so GRATEFUL for this amazing talk! It makes me cry even to this moment!

So I wanted to embed this into Wylie so I will have it “forever”! I can listen to it everyday and I will. There are “mini” sessions out there but this is the entire talk. The best “TED TALK” that isn’t a Ted Talk. I am totally amazed at people who can speak like this. I can’t do it without starting to cry! But I figure that is OK! It is 28 minutes long and I have watched it twice so far. I’m sure I’ll see it more times in the future.
The second thing that changed my life on Friday was that I watched the movie “Silver Lining Play Book”. If you haven’t seen it you HAVE TO SEE IT! I’m going to watch it again today after church! Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Dejkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk\Niro! (D0mino walked on the keyboard)! All about addiction, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and fanatics! It is really so great! Bradley Cooper can’t dance, but he sure can act! Jennifer Lawrence is a dancer and a wonderful actress – Hunger Games – REALLY!!!! and of course the icon Robert De Niro !!!! Can’t wait!
Today here we are:
I’m a hummingbird – following my curiosity! God love Elizabeth Gilbert! I posted on her facebook page – twice! She is represented by the “Wylie Group”. Could that be another sign?
And speaking of curiosity. I have a thing on my computer that is called “Gizmo”. It is an email that comes to my email periodically with “free” stuff on the internet that is supposed to make my life better in a variety of ways. Well yesterday, I got a link to 15 hours of FREE Harvard Lectures (from 2011 – but what the heck) all about the internet. It is a course on line from HARVARD! So I started watching the first lecture and it was about computer language and how it is set up as 2, 4, 8, 16, 64 and 128 bits. The professor was explaining how computers “do their” thing with just the “0’s and 1’s”. We had a quiz on how to spell “BOW” in the digital way. He had 8 students come up and hold up cue cards and he explained how we would write the code for that for a computer. The first lecture is an hour and a half. I got through 40 minutes and then went out for a walk. So now I have the link to this lecture series and it is exactly what I’ve been looking for and needing to get a “basic” understanding of computer use and it should fill in a lot of gaps in my knowledge…..and it’s from HARVARD – FOR FREE! Holy SHIT! So now I can say I’ve gone to Harvard and it didn’t cost me a dime! Life is good.
Thanks for visiting. I’m a hummingbird! Come back anytime to see where my curiosity has taken me!
