Good Morning Bill and Cathy, the world and BEYOND!
I’m trying something new this morning:
<div id=”fb-root”></div><script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3″; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));</script><div class=”fb-post” data-href=”https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153760949492512&set=a.10151101786187512.451796.595937511&type=3″ data-width=”500″><div class=”fb-xfbml-parse-ignore”><blockquote cite=”https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153760949492512&set=a.10151101786187512.451796.595937511&type=3″>Posted by <a href=”#” role=”button”>Amber Phillips</a> on <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153760949492512&set=a.10151101786187512.451796.595937511&type=3″>Wednesday, December 23, 2015</a></blockquote></div></div>
Well that didn’t work. It’s supposed to be a picture of the pier from my friend Amber. I’m going to try something else.
I thought this was a beautiful picture of the pier at sunset! I tried to embed it as it said to copy and paste into your website and then that big “code” thing came out not the picture. So I went back in and got the picture another way. Still a lot to learn in the website thing. I’m enjoying the on line classes I’m taking from Harvard. I’ve done 1 full session and part of another one. I think I’ll need to sit at my computer and watch the classes. Last time I tried to watch it on the couch, I kept falling asleep. I’m easily distracted, but maybe I was just tired! I’ll try the session again from the beginning. They go an hour and a half which is a long time to keep my attention.
So today I’ll be at work by myself – meaning that Lily, Millie, Becky and Patti are all gone. I’ve worked holidays before when that was going on and things went surprisingly well so I’m going to go in with a “positive” attitude and believe it will be the same today. I’m “considering” dropping in on Christmas to help Betty Bickford, but I’m hesitant because once I get there it will be hard to leave. I’m still deliberating about that. I want to try that sausage & mozzarella roll to bring to Dick’s and I won’t have time to “practice” with it until tomorrow morning. If it comes out good the first time, I’ll take it to “New Attitudes” for their “Potluck”. I like the place. I like that it is so close to me and that it is a place to meet up with other AA’s. I’ve seen Ron there twice. Dennis lead the meeting last night. He is a board member that I believe lives in Eagle Creek – just before Marco. I haven’t seen Bruce McDaniels there yet. I’ve sent the list I made up to him and Mike and Allan but no one has responded to it. So I’ll just stay patient and hope that all is well. The thing is, they are only in this space temporarily (3 months or so) and then will move into another space 2 or 3 doors down. I’ve made it to 2 Saturday meetings at 8AM and 2 5:30PM meetings. Yesterday I met Annie who has been in and out. She says she is there “for her” this time. Time will tell. I gave her my number and I have hers now. I’ve always liked her. She lives where Heather and Ralph live right around the corner from me.
I’ve got to take the trash out. Be right back!
Today is Christmas Eve and I was going to go to The Current for the Christmas Eve service, but I remembered after saying I’d do a part, that it is the Naples Group night so I can’t do the service this year. I’m sorry about that, but this is unusual that there is this conflict. It won’t happen again, but I’m sorry to miss this service tonight. It’s the first one I’ve missed since being a member of the church which is coming up to 10 years now. Can’t believe it! I’m now in charge of the calendar for both congregations. Bill from MCC has a new job that is taking his time and Stephanie asked me to do it. It makes sense since I already do the calendar for FCC, but it’s taking a little more time and I’m not sure what all of the parts are. Anyway, I’m working on the January calendar and it’s going to be a little late. I hope I’ll have it wrapped up on Sunday so it can go out. We’ll see. 3 of MCC’s 12 members can not help any longer which is a bit of a drag. So we’ll see how this goes.
So I’m running out of time now. Have a beautiful day and thanks for visiting!
