Good Morning Bill and Cathy and the world and beyond,
So yesterday this happened:
I can’t believe that! It seems like so many miles, but of course it really isn’t for a car. I’ve put on about 7000 of those miles. By buying TY as a “used” car, I saved some money. I was happily surprised that Doug thought my car was “cute” when last year as I was talking about getting it, he thought it wasn’t so cute. Interesting! I got an email from KIA saying that my car needed maintenance on it. So I took it in on Saturday for the work. Turns out it was “recalled” for the steering “issue” so they fixed that too. So it goes to show you, that calling earlier about the recall did not work. They looked up my VIN number and said it wasn’t listed, but then yesterday the guy said it was. How do you really know they fixed it “in the back”? Oh well, got to have faith! It took about 1 1/2 hours to get the car finished and they washed it and vacuumed it, but didn’t vacuum the back. But it looks better than it did. I may take my vac out to the garage and do the back of the car…..we’ll see. I still need to vacuum the house today.
I went to the Bargain Box yesterday for some after Christmas shopping. I got about 7 shirts (3/4 length sleeve) all for $5 each. I got a pair of jeans for $5 and a purse for $5. I really liked the shop. Doug was “working” the register and gave me a 20% discount (his discount) on everything so it was even cheaper. I actually filled up the bag with old clothes I don’t wear any longer and will drop them off so they can resell them. I need to do that more often. I have a lot of clothes I don’t really wear much and I should thin out the closet. Oh yea, I also got a really pretty “Chico’s” jacket for $15 with the discount. It was fun doing that and the shop makes money for his church. It’s been on 10th street in the same location for YEARS! Probably more than 40 years. Wow! They do a good job there. But I also like the resale store they have for St. Matt’s. That place is amazing. They took over an old car dealership and they have all kinds of items for sale. It’s big business.
Yesterday I went to New Attitudes for the 8AM meeting and I gave my number to an “newcomer” named Jackie. She is living at St. Matt’s. So I’m still waiting for her to call me. I don’t know if it will work with us as she is an “addict”. I almost wanted to give her some money yesterday, but I held back. I remember giving Kristin my bike and that didn’t work out so well. This girl needs a lot of help. We’ll see how God works this out for us. I’m planning to make it to the Noon meeting today after church, or if not, I’ll go to the 5:30 today. Maybe I’ll do both.
So yesterday I “stole” this picture from Facebook that was posted by a friend. I love this and the beach looks so beautiful. I forget sometimes how beautiful it can be!
I am so lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful place. Can’t wait to retire!
Here is another picture that I stole from Beverly or Kris – can’t remember who, but I love this one too!
They really are a cute couple. They seem happy. I hope they are good for one another. They have a dog – Gnarly- a bassett hound. Wonder if they’ll ever have any kids?
Well, I guess that is about all for today. I’m planning to ride RED2 to Church. We’re talking about the “Life is Good” tee shirt company. I’m going to wear my “Life is Good” shirt with the cat on it. So much fun!
Thanks for visiting. Have a beautiful day today!
