It’s the 4th of July and the 250th Birthday of America!

I’ll take a picture of our flag today when it arrives. It rained a little this morning, just enough to make it smell like rain today. It will be hot! We’re cooking out brats tonight for our 4th of July Celebration! Here is our 4th of July FLAG:

We had a wonderful sunset last night for the 4th of July:

The color isn’t quite right, but since we’ve been “inside” at happy hour we’ve missed the sunsets, but last night we ate out in the Arizona room so it was like we were “having a picnic” for the 4th.
I got up this morning for my meeting. There were only 3 of us today, Jeff, me and Noe. So the meeting ended early. I do like that when it happens. I’m thinking about my trip to Pinetop in 2 weeks. I hope it will be cooler up there. Let me see if I can find out what the elevation is there: 6950! YES!!!! Maybe I’ll try to get a month up there next summer. It all depends on how I feel after this trip. Not sure I can convince Jack of doing that. If not next year, then maybe in the future once the kitties are a little older. Time will tell.
Look Waggle took a picture in color! How does that work?

Today’s Wordle:
Temperatures next week – Pinetop and Mesa:

Can you see why I want to GET OUT OF MESA!!!!!!! Here is another campground to check out someday!

When I go to Pinetop on Tuesday, I may want to check this realtor:

We finally got a little rain yesterday. It has been skirting us and has been especially bad in Benson & Tucson:
Found this on FB in case we ever need it:
It’s actually only 80 this morning so I think I’ll go out to the front porch. Waiting for Jack to get up!
I made it to Show Low. Here is my one and only fill up in Show Low:

This place is SO BIG that I had to have Madeline come pick me up at the office and lead me back to my site. I’m within walking distance to her rig. I just got my water, electric and STARLINK set up. I have sewer too, but I didn’t set that out yet. Maybe tomorrow. I’m done with setting up for now. I put my solar lights out though. Let me go take a picture of my set up. I and perfectly level! I feel a very nice cool breeze through the window – cross breeze between dining table and stove. It’s glorious! It did rain a bit while I was driving here and was raining when I got here but it is stopped now and I have my chair set up and my awning out. I have to be careful of wind so says Maddie!
These are my temps when I got here:

Madeline said that this is the new area. The sites are great. I’m a little open but I think it will be fine. Time will tell. I love this cooler temperature! It has been raining a bit. Sara Vega and Sally (someone) are also here while I’m here. We all went out to dinner tonight to a nice Mexican Restaurant in Pinetop. It was “Taco Tuesday”. I got 2 tacos and my whole dinner bill was $4.86. It was also HAPPY HOUR. That is the cheapest I have ever spent on dinner anywhere! WOW! (I did leave a $5 tip) It is now 5:45 and I’m in for the night. Madeline says there are wild horses that come through the camp. The area where I am is a new area. The gravel is loose but I have a concrete pad by my door so I can put out my awning. As you can see by the pictures, I’m in the sun. We’ll see how hot it gets with full sun. The rig might get warm during the day. Right now it is 71 outside and 78 inside. Very comfy. I’m listening to The Bridge on SiriusXM. My project for this trip is to work on my inventory of items in the rig and to hang the cover on my fan over the cab. It keeps coming off. It’s amazing how much cooler it keeps the rig when it is on and how hot it is when it’s not. I don’t think I’ll be using my bike. The roads are too rough – too much gravel. I don’t want to slip and break something – me or the bike! I think I’ll close this for today. Oh yea. I’m going back on 260. I didn’t like the 60 all that much. It was pretty desolate after Globe and not much going on if I had a breakdown. Although I don’t expect that. Anyway, it was a little too curvy for my taste in DAISEE2. In the Jeep it would be fine. I just didn’t like it all that much in the rig.
