Good Morning Everyone!

Starting a new blog because the last one was about our great Rally at Canyon Point. It was a lot of fun and to be out of the heat in MESA was glorious. This is where we were last night at 10PM:

This was where I was just a couple of days ago!

So remember this?:

Well it is starting AGAIN!

Only problem is that it is so hot the blooms are burnt at the ends and we’re not sure if they will open before they shrivel up. Anyway, this happened this morning (probably last night):

I love this cactus – I’ll miss it when we leave! But we can just plant another one in the next place. Time will tell!

Waggle yesterday IN COLOR!

Here is a “SHORT” of my bloom and bee:

You can see how the sun is burning the buds. I hope we have a couple of more in this round of blooms. I think I see one at the bottom which may bloom tonight. I’ll let you know!

Last night we had a big dust storm and then it rained. It was really interesting. The wind really picked up and the windshield cover on DAISEE2 got knocked around. I’m wondering if the panels by the Jeep are still intact. It’s still a little dark to go out, but we’ll check it later. The lightning was pretty intense.

We had another bloom today:

Very nice sunrise too!

Ziggy was napping with me yesterday:

Beautiful sunrise this morning. Zena liked it. We don’t have this blind up often, but today I had to see it!

Zena was lonely this morning – she kept trying to get me out of bed. She finally succeeded! Ziggy and Jack are still sleeping! I’m glad she did though because I would have missed the sunrise!

Can’t believe it – got the WORDLE in 3!!!!

Today is Wednesday, August 26, 2026. I’ve found a house in Tucson that I LOVE! Jack said he eventually sees himself moving back to Tucson “one day”. Well, I’m at a point where I don’t want to move again after the next move (said that before) but it has everything we want. Views of the Catalinas. Just down the road on Houghton from our old place so I know the neighborhood. Broadway entrance to Saguaro National Park. 3 Bedrooms, 2 car garage with the possibility of adding another garage in the future. Great desert plantings. In a neighborhood with larger houses that are more expensive. It’s a good size for us. Here is the listing:

It looks like DAISEE2 can sit in the driveway for loading and unloading and we could add a 30AMP next to the garage for a plug-in. It can stay there for 48 hours according to what we can see. I can just store DAISEE2 at the Speedway Family Storage like I did before. The neighborhood should be quiet – no Speedway traffic. It may take a couple of months before we could put our Mesa place on the market, so that would be a few months of double utilities. It’s ok, I’ve got the money. I’ll keep you posted, but this looks really good! Only 40 minutes to Bill and Cathy. We know the neighborhood and love it on that side of town. I’m excited!

Unhappy to report the house is not a good match. It has poly pipes that need replacing and a roof with problems and who know how old the A/C system is. So on to the next one, but I did love this house. Too bad. So we’re staying here for a while until we find the next great house!

Enter a new place in Green Valley:

We’re going down on Saturday, August 29th to look at it. It may be too small. I’ll keep you posted! We are going on Tuesday, Sept.1, 2026 now. I’m getting more and more happy with this place. I just hope it is BIG enough. The price is right! It is located right down the road from DAISEE2 storage – I can safely ride my bike there and it is a corner lot. Lots of positives!

Today is Wednesday, September 2, 2026. It is 2 days since:

I had a Mohs surgery on this hand. They had to go in twice, but it is supposed to be GONE now. So I’m not supposed to lift anything above 10 pounds and keep it covered for a few more days. Here is a picture of the suture after 2 days: I can take a shower today, but will wait until tomorrow:

It is a little swollen but doesn’t hurt. I’m glad I got it done now so I’ll be ready for my long trip to New Mexico with RVW.

Yesterday, Jack and I went to Green Valley to check out the house above. We are going to buy it. We got it for $285K. We will sell our MESA house for at least $350K. So we have money to spend on “improvements”. I didn’t take any pictures if you can believe it! Anyway, we like it although it is smaller than the one we have here in MESA. But we downsized from Tucson, so I guess that is our trend. It does have a nice view of the mountains from the back porch. Let me see if I can get a picture of the view from ZILLOW:

This picture was taken in 2021. John Jay put in the plantings 5 years ago and they are really overgrown now. I don’t have access to those pictures as the house shows “off market” now. But you can still see our VIEW!!!!!

This is how close I am to where Sue Shaw lives in GV. I haven’t told her yet. I’ll wait until we’re really dialed in:

Here are pictures from ZILLOW showing our “new house” as off market. These pictures were from 2021.

It’s official. We are now owners of 991 W. Rio Hondo, Green Valley, AZ. I have sent $3000 earnest money. Our inspection is next Wednesday and we are travelling down for it. Life is GOOD!

Beginning this again on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Bill and Cathy had a deer in their campsite:

Winston just stared at it – no barking! What a good dog!

It’s almost 911 and there are a bunch of YouTube videos on now. Here is one from GWB:

And another one. 25th Anniversary of 911 this year:

I started watching one for the 25th Anniversary but it was mostly about the memorial museum. I’ll put one in that may be better letter. Otherwise I’ll put that one in. Time will tell over the next day or so.

Today is Labor Day 2026. Here is our flag. It is hot today so we’re inside – the reason we want to move.

Ziggy and Zena tried to share today. I’ll miss a shelf like this in the new place. We’ll need to do something about that:

Here are a couple of other great 911 videos!

This is narrated by Gwyneth Paltrow:

Today is September 9th. We are travelling to Green Valley for the inspection of our “new home”! Wish us luck – pray for us!

UPDATE: The house we liked in GV needs a new A/C and the foundation is cracked. The painting of the cabinets in the kitchen is very shoddy and the gas doesn’t turn on the furnace or the hot water heater. SO we’re on to another one. It is way down at the bottom of GV, but is a corner lot with a small area of open space by it. The backyard has a great mountain view. Here is a picture of it.

But this is very cool too: Cooling & Heating 2022, New Roof 2017. Water Heater 2018. No worries about A/C or Water Heater or ROOF! And there is a Saguaro in the back yard!!!!

It is Saturday, September 12th and we’re driving down to Green Valley to see “our new home”. I’ll take pictures! Wish us luck!
