Good Morning Everyone!

We went to GV the other day to collect our keys, garage door openers and mailbox keys. We can’t find our mailbox. We think it is #13 but the key wouldn’t go into the box down by the little bench. We’ll have to go to the Post Office next time we go down. We’ll be going next Thursday (Bill’s Birthday 10/22). They are going to tear up the house and start the repiping. I saw a couple of pictures on their website of the type of work it takes to do that job. I think we have a good company. They said that they have done our model home before so I think it will be fine. Altogether with fixing the drywall and painting it will cost around $20K. I have the money, but it does make me anxious to sell our place in MESA to recoup our investment. It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. I hope me make a LITTLE money on our place in MESA. I took some pictures the other day of the backyard and inside the empty house:

This shows the bougainvillea and the Ocotillo plus a peek at the beautiful Palm in the corner.

Palm again and some interesting thick cacti. The bush is some kind of succulant with pretty red flowers on it. I think I got a picture of that:

I’ll have to ask ChatGPT or MUSE to identify it for me. I’ll be back. That’s a **slipper plant** (*Euphorbia lomelii*) — a Sonoran Desert native that’s everywhere in Arizona landscaping.

The giveaways: the leafless, pencil-thin green stems growing in a clump, and those little red slipper-shaped flowers (that’s where the name comes from). One heads-up: like all euphorbias, it bleeds a milky white sap that can irritate skin and eyes. Gloves if you’re ever pruning it.

Here is our Saguaro:

We think that is where our mailbox is, but we could not get the key to work. This next picture is from where our Rockers will be in the back yard. Facing EAST:

This is my route by bike to Sue’s place:

I took a number of pictures of the empty rooms: This is the dining room and living room:

I’m glad I took pictures of the place empty. It will be cool to watch our stuff get in there: Here is the foyer into the kitchen:

This shows the outside foyer:

This is the pass through from the dining room into the kitchen – great light over the table area!

I love that dark tile. It does make the house a bit dark, but in the summer that will be very cool: Here is a picture of the Master Bedroom. That window looks out to the mountains out back:

Here is the master closet. It will be Jack’s closet. I’ll be in my office space. Plenty of space in there for my clothes:

This is the master bath. SO MUCH BIGGER than the one in MESA. You can see me in the medicine chest taking the picture. That is the pocket door to the shower and toilet:

This is my space. The windows look down King Arthur Court – the cul-de-sac across from us:

I will put my desk along the wall to the right and my bookcase along the wall to the left. My work table (which is the old TV stand we never really used in MESA) will fit under the window. I’ll put my printer on one of the side tables by the desk. The TV table will be just 1 inch under the window and to close the blinds I can’t put anything on top. We’ll see how that works. This is my closet:

This is the hallway into my room with Jack’s office space to the right and the bathroom to the left. That is the one I’ll use, like we do here in MESA. Such a nice floorplan for us:

This is the office space and my bathroom also:
