Hello Everyone,
So my newest obsession is that I’m considering, “considering”, selling my house and moving into an RV and travelling around America with Bill & Cathy. They don’t know this yet, I’m going to visit them in September. I’ve been studying “We’re the Russos” on YouTube. They are in their 30’s and gave up their corporate world to travel around in an RV. They are supporting themselves, by doing videos, writing books and using a system called “Patreon” where people send money to support them. Naples Photo Blog is doing the same thing. I’m wondering how I can make a little money with this blog. Why would anyone want to “follow” this? Who knows. All I know is that I love working on the computer and I know there is a way that I can make money. I’m finding in my “retirement” that there are times when I get a little “antsy” in my place. That is usually when I turn on my UBER app and work a few runs. Especially in the afternoon when Wylie (bless her heart) keeps bugging me about feeding her. I want to feed them around 4PM each day, but she starts around 1 bugging me. I think I’ll start keeping her out on the lanai when she starts that. Maybe she’ll learn how to come in the kitty door in the bedroom like Domino and Metaxa do.
So back to the RV life. My biggest concern is taking all 3 cats with me. I’m not sure I can do that. I think while I am driving, I will keep them in carriers. Then when I get to my destination, I will let them out. Then there is the issue with the kitty litter. I think that first, I’ll try it with just Wylie. I read Joe Russo’s book “Take Risks” and loved it. It documented their journey to live their lives on their own terms. I think after spending a week in a camper at Bill’s I’ll have a better feeling – yes or no! Also, I’m renting a van in November for a week. It is over near Miami and Suzan and Bette will be driving over with me to pick it up and then we will bring it back to Naples and leave from here. We are going up to Sebring area to a place they know to hang out. They will bring their T@B and their 2 dogs. The place we are going is: Highlands Hammock. They are going to go camping over Labor Day Weekend there and I’m going to take care of their cats.
Ultimately I’d like to rent out my house – I don’t think I ever want to sell it, because I love this place and 40 years in Naples is a long time. My only issue right now is the fact that we are dealing with Toxic Algae. I’m not sure what the long term issues are with that.
