ME & Olivi@
Hello my fellow travelers!
I am beginning to travel to campgrounds in my new JEEP & my T@G Boondock Camper. I own her and I am making her my own! She is a 2018 Model, made by the Amish in Ohio. I bought her the Saturday before Halloween & picked her up on Halloween. I had great help & encouragement from my camper buddies, Bette & Susan:
Partners in Crime
Bette (in orange) has been a great sport! She has been patiently trying to teach me the skills I need to back her up. At this point I really “suck” at it, but I know it will come to me after I try it some more! I have discovered a super place in my neighborhood to practice, and my road that I live on has an area where I can do a uturn. I’ve backed her into my garage exactly 2 times. I’ve been pretending to camp ever since I got her home.

Flowers from the neighbors
My neighbors to the left of me are from Germany. His name is Wilhelm & her name is Catarina (maybe-they have thick accents & are hard to understand). Wilhelm texted me last year after IRMA asking about damage to the property & I sent him pictures. It’s amazing how that can work all the way to Germany from here & on my phone! Wow! Anyway they returned to Germany & brought me the flowers for the garage! So sweet!

So here we go! After the Gratitude Dinner tomorrow I’ll be able to practice backing her at Florida Southwestern College. The parking lot should be empty on Sunday after church so Suzan & I will be practicing while Bette works! Neither of us know how to drive it so we’ll do it together & then I’ll be ready to go on Monday to Highland Hammock near Sebring. I’ll be following Bette & Suzan & their two dogs, Zia & Sadie. Suzee is babysitting my kids! Thank you Suzee!
Oh yeah, I wanted to explain how Otis got his name. Well Otis rides with me in the JEEP & Bill Strenkert named him foe the elevator company because his head goes up & down!

This picture was taken after dark by my iPad, but you get the idea! I’m using my iPad to write this post. I still think it’s easier to do it on my computer, but that would be one less thing weighing down Olivi@. So I might just use this rather than take the computer. I think that is what I’ll do. Still deciding.
