Good Morning Everyone,
I am so proud of myself! I decided yesterday to check out my Fantastic Fan again. I took a flashlight and noticed the hole to screw the lock lever into and did it. Once that was accomplished, I was able to unlock the fan cover and open it up. Voila! I can now run the fan. AND I don’t need to take her to Gerzeny’s in Ft. Myers an embarrass myself. Now if I can just figure out the other things I need to know, like: how does the “outside” shower work? How does the DVD player work? Etc. Let me see if I can put my video here of the fan running:
Jeff suggested that I put the video on YouTube so I’m going to do that. Be right back! I couldn’t get that to work, but I’m going to try again.
Now I’m wondering if I should trim the gel topper for the bed. I must say, it really makes the bed comfortable, but looks a little weird. Then I was thinking maybe I should take the bed and lay out the 2 pieces on the floor and just have the topper on one side. It may look better. Not sure, but I should try it.
Oh yea, the other thing I want to do is put the rack back up on the top of Olivi@. I think I’ll do that today. I need to make an appointment with Dr. McLean and also get Hometech here to fix the leak under my sink in my bathroom.
OK, all appointments are done.
Right now I’m working on Sisters by the Sea, tickets for the February 9th dinner on Marco. They are complete. Packets made up. Will be given to Peggy on Wednesday at the District Meeting. The last one for 2018. Our first meeting will be on Thursday, January 31st at The New Attitudes Club. I will be treasurer for District for 2 years. The last Intergroup Meeting will be December 5th. Next year I “MAY” be the Intergroup Chairperson. That will be for 2 years too. I think that will be my last commitment like that for a while. With doing the website and working at Intergroup and taking the phones over the last weekend of the month, I think that should keep me busy. Plus I’ll be involved with the Naples Group and Morning Reflections.
Now I’ll be making up the tickets for the Naples Group Anniversary Dinner on February 28th. It is the 65th Anniversary of the Naples Group.
Oh yea, I forgot to mention I went out with Peter Doyle on Saturday night. We went to Blueberries, after the Big Book Meeting. He is an interesting fellow. 82 years old – only 14 years older than me. He has 50 years in the program. He seems to be honest – at least he should be after 50 years. He has a wife in a facility in Connecticut. He says she is at a point that she doesn’t recognize her therapy dog – Madelaine(?) so Peter is caring for her here in Naples. She is a gentle German Shepard. He has brought her to a meeting at NAC on occasion. He said if his wife hadn’t gotten sick, he would still be working. He owns an Insurance Business in Connecticut that his son (s?) is/are running. Apparently, his wife thinks her son Peter is her husband Peter. That tells you something. So because he is still married, should I go out with him? I don’t really see the harm. He wants to go to a movie at some point. I think I’ll do that.
OK so now I’m going to go through the process of adding another video here. I’m going to add the video of Wylie climbing into Olivia. Let’s see if I can do that:
That took about 1/2 hour to do. I need to write down the process. I’ll do that one day. Now I know I’ll be able to do this in the future. How about one more practice. I’m going to add the alligator video here:
OK I think that is enough for today. I think I have it now. I just need to upload the video to “Dropbox” from my iPad or iPhone and then put it in a folder in Drop Box and then upload it to YouTube. It works great! Thank you Jeff!
