Good Morning Everyone,
This morning I got up and am thinking about a LOT of things. First of all the month of September reminds me of my childhood. It was the month that we returned to school. We always went back to school on the Wednesday after Labor Day in Connecticut. I still can’t figure out why school starts so early in Florida and the school system is not very competitive – ranked way down the list of states – can’t quote where it lists, but I bet Google Knows. Let me check that……be right back. Florida is 13th (higher than I guessed) and Connecticut is #3 behind Maine and California. But then again this is just based on High Schools. The southern states take a beating. Glad I can live in the south and don’t need to educate MY children. But then again there are some great “private” schools – I worked in one for 13 years. But that is a story for another day.
Today I’m going to try something. I wanted to show a picture I thought was cute of Wylie:

But also I took a video of Metaxa and Wylie playing on the new addition to our living room. When I viewed this on my computer it came out “sideways” – I’ll see if I can change that here……no guarantees and no guarantee this will work at all, but here goes….
So now I’ll have to wait to see what happens when I check the post. Gotta love technology. I originally did this on my phone and it was too long to send out so I amended it on my phone. It amazes me that my little phone can have a built in video camera in it. Every once in a while I’ll film the cats doing something, or nothing and at times when I want to relax waiting for something or out of the house somewhere, I’ll flip the video on and I feel right at home. Michael my pastor will be please I mention this, because his message last Sunday was all about film and how the camera lens opens up to let the light in and then closes to take the picture and then the film moves up a frame and that is how it “used” to be done back in the day. Then the message was all about letting the light of God in etc, etc. But it did stay with me all the way to today which is Friday – so I’m getting better at paying attention in church.
Still thinking about my trip to Atlanta in 2015. Bill said he isn’t going, but I’m hoping he will change his mind – I’m sure he will many times between now and then. I’m still trying to figure out if I’m “taking the bus” or flying. I’m leaning toward taking the bus, but I wonder where we’ll be picked up and if I need to park my car somewhere. Jackie already booked her flight. I want to wait until later to book my flight because I don’t want to add it to my credit card just yet. Of course, I’m already obsessing about my cat care. I need to remember who told me they have a “cat sitter”. Jackie is having friends stay at her place for the week. That would be something I could try I suppose. But there is time. I know it will work out and Bill IS going to go!
