So today is Friday, March 8, 2019. I am camping at Ross Prairie with Suzan & Bette. We are near Gainesville at Rainbow Springs! We have met up with RVWomen, which is a group of women who like to travel together in RV’s. Most are gay couples, but there are others who find that their husbands don’t want to go camping. We went to a meet & greet last night so we could sign up for a trip on a pontoon boat. Here is a picture of the boat. Only 7 could go at a time. We were the first to go out this morning at 9:30.

The water was crystal clear! It reminded me of the pond on Cape Cod. The colors were amazing! We saw a gator, Anhingas, eagles, ospreys, turtles and beautiful homes along the quiet river. There were lots of kayaks and canoes. The area is wide open. Lots of farm land & horses & cattle. The town of Dunnellon is very quaint. I bought a really cool wind chime at a cool antiques shop! It was LOADED with stuff! Most of the shops are in old homes & it’s really great. Makes me think it may be time to leave Naples. I’ve lived there for over 40 years, but as we pointed out last night, A.A. in Naples is amazing. I doubt that Rainbow Springs has any thing close to our program. My best & most supportive people are A.A. people. So I’ll probably stay, at least for now!
So today is Saturday, March 9th. Not as cold this morning! Didn’t need the heater. We’ll be driving to Rainbow Springs for orientation today at 10. I think Bette & Susan are thinking about joining RV Women. There seems to be a higher percentage of gay women in the group. It will be interesting to see how they do an orientation. Then we are going to walk across the forest trail that goes over 75.
Here is a picture of my set up:

It is a fairly new place & not much shade where we are. I must say the sun gets pretty hot beating down on Olivi@. I even turned on the AC yesterday to take a rest. I wanted to put up my lights in the tent yesterday. I still haven’t deployed the back awning. I may do it this afternoon to test it out if we get back early enough. We’re going to a pot luck today & I was supposed to bring the crock pot & I totally spaced it. So hopefully it will stay hot enough in the pan. Speaking of “Pan”…..I took a panorama picture today. Let’s see how that comes through here.

Love this way to blog! The pictures go in right size up without having to edit them. So super! So here we are at a restaurant for lunch yesterday called “Swampy”! It was super & right on the river! Lots of quiet boaters, kayaks & canoes.
