Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #33

Today is Saturday of my RV Women weekend. It has turned out to be a really great weekend. We have met some super women & we have all enjoyed our time together. Today we went to orientation. Kucy did most of the talking and it was pretty informative. There was just 5 of us. I gave Suzan & Bette the option not to go as they are not members and I wasn’t sure they were interested in joining – they came as my guests, although I didn’t realize that since I thought they were already members. Anyway, we enjoyed it. Then we went to a restaurant along the river which was really nice. It had a funny name like Stumpbanger or something like that. The food was really good. I had a great cheeseburger with super French fries. Then we had key lime pie for dessert. I’ll have to add pictures tomorrow since I’m charging my phone and my pictures are there. I do have one on here to add: no, have to wait.

Swampy

This is a picture of us at Swampy’s. We had lunch by the river that was so calming. We had Betsy Warr join us. She was with the group of us and stayed in the campground where we stayed. She was in an Itasca. It was beautiful. She travels with 2 dogs. She seemed very nice. Her husband doesn’t like to camp so she goes on her own. That is the whole purpose of Rving Women. She is going to the rally in Claremont. I can’t go to that one, because we’ll be at Myaaka and the next weekend I’m going to Boca for the Quarterly.

So tonight we went to the Pot Luck. We brought Suzan’s pot of beans that stayed nice and hot even though I forgot the crock pot. There was plenty of food and it was fun. We stayed for the bon fire. It was nice and we got home about 7:30. Now I’m blogging and considering hitting the sack. I’m sitting in my tent room & can hear the conversation at the next site. They have 2 horses with them. I’m trying to figure out what that is all about. They just took the horses out of their trailer & have just tied them up to a post. It’s a little weird. Maybe they are traveling to a show or something.

So today I got the awning up over the back of the kitchen. It wasn’t as easy as I had hoped, but we got it up & then left for the day. Apparently it flew off and was banging around and the ranger Shannon caught it and tied it down so it wouldn’t bang up the camper. So I folded it up and I’m sending it back. It is too flimsy and way too big. Another mistake. That makes two in a row. The Pahaque tent & now this. I think I’ll just keep it the way I have it with just the ARB Awning and the tent room. That ought to be enough.

This weekend has been a super weekend with amazing weather. It isn’t at all cold tonight. I doubt it will be too cold in the morning either. So I think I’ll just turn in now. I’m about blogged out. Once I get the pictures sent from my phone I’ll add them to this blog. Thanks for visiting. I’m cooking hash in the morning for breakfast.
