Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #56

Good morning everyone,

Here I am again at Intergroup. It is Friday, July 12, 2019.

Intergroup

I just discovered, that if you look in the iPad, you will see me taking the picture of the Intergroup Office. That is so funny!

So last week, my phone died. I went to Verizon and was told that I needed a new phone. Just when I had paid off the iPad and phone and my bill was reduced by $50, it will now go up again, plus I just had to pay $120 for it. I know I bought a new cover for it and it is now GOLD rather than ROSE so here it is!

New Phone

Another good thing about this phone is that it has more memory and should be faster. I think I’ve noticed that, but not too sure. So I took a picture of Wylie on it this morning and it was a little grainy looking through the viewfinder, but here is that picture. I guess it’s pretty clear. The funny thing about this picture is that Wylie loves to sit on “unusual” things. She sits on my scale in my bathroom. And this is her on the “inflatable” bed I just got back from Mary V. I’ll have this available for “someone” to camp with me when it gets cooler in Florida. I’m thinking Nikki & Suzee right now, although maybe John. Who knows. Anyway, here she is:

Wylie on Bed

Isn’t she pretty? I LOVE THAT CAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! And her sister Metaxa is a love too. She is so affectionate now! Ever since Domino died. She sleeps with me and wakes me up by kissing me. She just LOVES the catio. She would live out there if I would let her. She is so adorable. Here she is:

Porch Rug

She has found this chair as her “go to”. When I want her to come inside to eat, she jumps off the chair and gets under it so I can’t get her inside. I have to tease her with the food and finally she comes in to eat and eats in the livingroom. Then her left overs go to Wylie. What a life I have with these two cats. If anyone ever saw what I did because of them, they would never believe it. CATS ROCK!!!!!!

So I’ve been thinking about the RV up sizing. Saw this one on the road the other day when I was coming back from Hillsborough River State Park with Betsy and I asked her to write down the name of it. I love the size and look – although the paint of the outside is so crazy – who ever designs RV’s doesn’t have my taste in decorations but whatever……..

Navion

So I LOVE this one. I think the only way I can do it though would be to “go full time” and sell my house. I think I could do it. I signed up for a course called “Becoming Minimalist”. It is a 12 week course to learn how to “downsize”. As far as this RV is concerned, I would want a floor plan that I could keep the bed made up everyday. Although I guess that isn’t a “deal breaker”. It would give me something to do every day. So I guess my goal would be to find a “used” one of these and I bet I could find that somehow.

So this morning I was thinking about Dick and Doug. I texted Dick a while back and I remembered that he didn’t respond so I texted him again. Come to find out that Doug has been diagnosed with Parkinsons. Big Shock – according to Dick. Anyway, Doug has been depressed for some time. Dick says he isn’t interested in any therapies. But they were on their way to a “therapist” this morning, so that may have changed somehow. But I guess we’ll see how it plays out. I’ll put him on our prayer list – but Michael is out of town so I’m not sure how that will happen.

So We’re the Russo’s just made it past 100K subscribers. Yay for them. They were the first people I found on YouTube. I love their channel. They had a white husky named LEO that died and they went through the grieving of that. Like Carolyn and Capone. Anyway, I just had a conversation with a guy named SKIP about RVing. I just talked about having an electric bike that I thought was too expensive, but when he reminded me that a bike doesn’t need to be registered and you don’t need a license for it that would be cool. I think I’ll give that idea to Suzee. Bob from Cheap RV Living reviewed it. He pointed out that you don’t need to “break camp” just to ride to the 711 or what not on errands. They have quite a bit of battery power and you can get to places pretty easily. I could ride it to Publix etc and even to the New Attitudes Club. So much better than really peddling. This bike is about $900 and others I have seen are over $1500. So it’s a better price. It also comes completely set up which is important for me.

I’m on an austerity program now. I want to go through the next few months not spending any more than absolutely necessary. I just dipped into my savings account for the first time to pay my BOA credit card. I haven’t paid off Olivi@ and I planned to do that as soon as I bought her, but I didn’t so I’m still paying a monthly amount for her. So my purpose now is to plan on a 3 year plan. Sell my house, buy a C Class RV, buy an electric bike and hit the road. I really think this is what I want to do. I’ve been in Naples for over 40 years and I haven’t traveled the country. As much as I LOVE NAPLES, I want to travel with the cats. It will be a blast. Now that I have found the Pod Casts, I can have interactive meetings anywhere I go. Plus, I’ll have this blog to keep in touch with everyone who cares about me. I have a year and a half commitment with my Intergroup and District responsibilities and that is a great way to ease into this. Now what I need to find out is whether the Winnebago can tow my Jeep. Time to search that out. It’s time to do that. So from now on, I’m using this blog to make those plans. Step one is MADE A DECISION. I will continue to live and learn while I’m healthy enough to do it.

Bill and Cathy sent me a tee shirt from Yellowstone. I love it and made a video from this computer about it. Let’s see if I can add it here.

First Video

I had to upload it to YouTube and then I copied the link and added it here. So that’s how it’s done. Got to go now. Working at Artsy Thrift all day and then to BB meeting tonight to chair. Life is good. Come back again!
