Hello everyone,
So this is the second day of my 3 day weekend. Yesterday was excellent. I was able to get to the Brown Bag and it was fun to be there on a Friday rather than being at work. Terri even invited me out to lunch. That was a nice surprise. We went to “Grouper and Chips”. It was crowded and Bob joined us. That little place is amazing. All the tables crammed in close to one another and they try to get as many people in there as they can. I have to say the grouper was amazing. Lightly breaded so you think it might be halfway healthy. I know that place has been there for years and still cranking out the grouper and chips. It was nice being “taken out to lunch”. I didn’t expect it so it was a nice surprise. It was interesting hearing about Bob’s life. He is here in Naples living in the same building as his parents (The Meridian) on GSBlvd. They are in their 80’s and his mom has dementia. His dad is taking care of her now and they don’t want to have to move to a “facility”. He has checked out Moorings Park for them, but they don’t want to move. So it goes. So today I think I’ll go to the BB again and then tonight probably the Naples Group. I know that the Whoopie party is on Marco and I’ve been thinking about going to that meeting, but not tonight I don’t think, but it’s early and I could change my mind.
So Steve got a new computer – jealous! Anyway, my desk top is making me crazy. This morning I sat and waited and waited for things to “work”. It is so annoying. I know it is old – probably 10 years or so, but it’s been pretty reliable until the operating system is no longer supported by Microsoft – it is XP. Anyway, I have “so” much stuff on it and the whole history of the Gratitude Dinner is on there for the last 8 years. I use a publishing program that has some great stuff on it and I don’t want to put it on my laptop. But the waiting for things to load and then the “freezing” of things is just so frustrating. Anyway, I know I’ll probably get a new computer and I’m looking at that computer that Microsoft has that can be connected to a keyboard or not and can be a “tablet” also. That is getting my attention. But maybe, I’ll just bight the bullet and just use this laptop for everything. I know that the desktop computer has stuff on it that I will never need or want again so taking out the hard drive and loading it to a new computer is such a waste. But remember, I am trying to save money and not purchase anything large until I pay down my credit card. Then when I go to Atlanta next July, I’ll not worry about how much things cost.
So today, I’ve already cleaned the house and have done the laundry (yesterday). That means I have time to just do nothing if I want. Maybe I’ll go to Tables of Naples this morning. I like that meeting and the people there and it certainly is close to home. It’s a great excuse to ride Red. We’ll see. I think I’ll go to Walmart early today and get that out of the way. Plus I’ll probably pay some bills. I love doing that “on line”. What a wonderful invention! My desktop is finally up and I can get on line. What a hassle. But also I can pay bills from this computer which is much more reliable since I never know when the desktop is going to “freeze”. So here I am thinking about that HP computer that the ads keep comparing to the Apple Air. I really don’t want to get an Apple, although people who have them swear by them. I just don’t want to have to learn all that new stuff, when I’m so used to the MS stuff. It’s a dilemma. So maybe I’ll go to Office Max later today to see what they cost. The ad on TV compares the two but doesn’t give the prices. Oh yea, I can look up the price on line. Think I’ll do that.
So now I think I’ll get going. But I wanted to put a sweet picture up today of my kitties from last night sharing the same couch…….
So I just learned a new skill with this website on WP. I can just drag the image from the download bar into the media area and then I don’t have to go back into the computer to “find” the picture. I first had to email the picture to me and then I just downloaded it. It does save some steps. Always something new to learn.
Have a great day – I may go for a walk now. If I do, I’ll put it on FB or else I may go to the gym at work today at some point. So many choices……it’s hard to decide.

Been to Grouper and Chips–but not since several years. It was good, b/c it stayed the same quality and size of fish filets. It ALWAYS good to eat with friends–AA people, good for the soul. And I learn about others’ lives, and history. Interesting.
TO: “Jealous in Naples”, aka Mary.
Although my new computer is a laptop (I’ve NEVER used one on my lap!), it is my “desktop, bought a nice Samsung Monitor, 24” I think. And it is all so lovely. and disconnect a couple cables, and I’m “on the way” with it.
VERY happy. Reason for staying with Windows 7 is that it is solid OS, more so than “8” (“someone” said–grin!) and did not want to learn a new OS. (“Child says, “MOMMY I WANT MY MOUSE!”
Along with mouse for computer, I’m also pushover for kitty photos, whether I know their names or not. Yours are certainly typical “cat-people” with all the behaviors of …well, YOU know!
Hey, it’s been a good day for me, and probably you, the way it sounds.
Bye!

Have a W O N D E R F U L church day. I will visit Heather @! Hazel’s cup, then go to Brown Bag, and then watch football. Not until tonight did I realize how a short trip to Miami and return wore me out. AGE, Baby! I don’t dislike age, it’s just that I don’t realize I’m THERE What did I do, comment twice? (sigh) SEE WHAT I MEAN, Mary?
Bye!

I am having computer hiccups today. Everything is taking too long to load, pages unresponsive. Technology! Can’t live with it, can’t live without it.
