It’s Sunday, September 28, 2014

Hello Everyone,

So Sunday has arrived.  I’m having a bunch of computer problems this morning.  My laptop was going along so nicely and then suddenly, I couldn’t get anything to load up and it wouldn’t open up Wyliesavesme.  So I cranked up my desktop  and finally got to this space, but it is a slow process and keeps stopping in the middle of my typing.  So frustrating.  Just after I was thinking how nice my laptop is and how quick things work on it.  So I shut it down and moved over to the desktop.  I had a plan that I wanted to put a picture I took yesterday at the start of this blog, but now I have to download the pictures from my email to this computer so I can add them here.  My email is still loading up….oh there we go.  I’ll be back.

I love this tree!

I love this tree!

So this palm tree is in my neighborhood right by the parking lot at the pool.  When I walk around my circle (5 times is a mile) I’ve always admired it.  This picture doesn’t really show the color of the palm fronds.  They are a silvery light green and they are HUGE.  It is such a cool tree.  Now next I’m going to add another picture from yesterday that I wanted to add to this post.  Here we go….

Cat on a screen!

Cat on a screen!

Oh yea, Metaxa decided to climb up the screen enclosure – probably chasing a lizard.  She is my climber.  But Jackie and I clipped her claws after this picture was taken and she won’t be doing that for a while.  Clipping claws in my house is an adventure.  Every cat scatters because they know what is coming.  Wylie is the most cooperative.  Once we have her in our lap, she stays put until it’s over.  Next is Metaxa.  She is so little and lightweight that she’s pretty good, but gets very squirmy.   But DOMINO – he is truly terrible.  He hates it so much and he is so heavy it takes both of us to hold him down.  He yells and bites and hisses.  It is very traumatic for all of us.  Yesterday, we couldn’t get all of his claws on his left paw.  We save the left paw for last.  Something is really wrong with that.  So we have to wait until the next time.  He is very sensitive about that and I hope he doesn’t grow his claw into his pad like what happened to Bamboo once.  It was ugly and messy.  He won’t let me get close to his feet.  Even when he is relaxed, I can’t check them.  Oh well, he seems pretty healthy and runs a little and isn’t limping so I guess everything is ok.

So remember this PIA plant from before?

Jackie and I moved it and now look at it!

In its new home. It loves it here!

In its new home. It loves it here!

I can almost say I have a “green” thumb now.  Well not really, but I am happy with this new result.  Nature is a magical thing isn’t she?

Well, that’s about it for today.  Need to get ready to go to church – it’s my week to “bring the cookies” – God love Walmart!  We all love their cookies!  Have a beautiful day today.  I may go work out in the gym after church.  We’ll see.

You write “It’s Sunday”. (MARY..I already knew that, heehee). I miss Good morning Vietnam–or “Sunday”!!!
Me old fashioned–also never have learned to placidly adjust to change.

God may not be concerned whether you get a new computer or not–but He SURE won’t mind if you DO. And one of your friends (me) will be watching with awe (and glee) the “decision-making” progress. My bet is that you will visit Office MAX/DEPOT after church and/or gym. Waiting to see. Not gambling, just guessing.

Metaxa on the HIGH WIRE…LOVE it!!! I would HATE to have another cut my nails…and I’m not even a cat–or…hmmmmm.(They are SO like domineering humans (Of course I don’t know any OF right now!)

Green Thumb–is that any more than a sincere interest in “growing things, and an awareness of the wonderful miracle? I have no green thumb…but maybe it’s because I’m so busy “cutting, chopping, and mowing, that I seldom think of the GROWING–which is “helping God”. ( I KNOW God needs no help, but then why were we created? To fill a longing in the Eternal heart…to share? )

If you “need help” at computer store, just whistle (after 1 PM that is) I LOVE shopping computers, especially when it ain’t MY money on the line LOL!

    HEY…ENUFF of my rambles…
    Bye

Now I’m wondering if I want a laptop or a desk top. I have a laptop but it is just too heavy but works well – when it does. So now I’m not so sure what to get. Michael (My pastor/musician/computer geek) said to check out a Lovato? Not sure of the name, but something like that. I’ll go back on line to see. I see that My desk top days may be coming to an end, as I need to lean forward to read this print. Ugh! More shall be revealed.

100 people, all with similar knowledge and experience will give 100 answers–each somehow different. Can tell you this…laptops ARE lighter these days, (ONLY TWO YEARS after you bought one!?) and carry SO much more memory (RAM) and Hard Drive (HD).

And if you spend $150-200 you can buy a really decent monitor 24″ or 27″ to attach to at home–so it is just like desktop.
When you go out, pull our monitor cable, unplug everything else, close up your computer and be on your way in 3 minutes (maybe 5–grin!) SO easy. If you gone for short time–couple hours–you won’t need the power cables, b/c batterie are also longer lasting than heretofore. (I didn’t even know that was a valid word–grin!) IMO, heretofore is a GREAT word LOL!
If you going to Area Assembly, you’d want to take also the power cable and WHATCHACALLIT…didn’t know THAT was a word, either!!! WOW! Am learning today!

Ya sure a pair of Walgreen or CVC reading glasses are not in order? Oooops! Sorry…:-( … If you’re using CHROME browser, TWO clicks (I just did it) can give you larger–or smaller–
on-screen letters. Need to talk to you anyway, about another topic.
    BYE!

I think I’ll go to Best Buy. I have a big monitor, in fact I have 2 big monitors. Remember Bob left one for me. I just need to know how to hook them up. That would be a lesson for a Sunday perhaps. Also reading glasses may be in order. In fact I have a couple of pairs of those too. It’s amazing how much “stuff” I have that I don’t use. Try Dropbox. I love it!

Once you see how easy to attach monitor–you will not need help on that ever again. It’s quick, too. I have new monitor cable if yours is misplaced (“Oh! Never, Steve. I can put my finger on every accessory in an instant”)

Ha! I knew you had those glasses!

Installed the Box Drop–too late to mess with it now. Sleeping well, you zzzzzzzz…
