So today is Monday, July 29th. Ken Helton celebrates 17 years today and Steve Kirby celebrates 27 years. Ken is one week behind me and Steve Kirby is 10 years ahead of me. Pretty AWESOME! Last night I chaired the Willough meeting with Britten and Harold. It was great, but I’m glad I didn’t have to go through that process. Don’t like the “feel” in there. I think they try but it seems too “drugged” to me. But for the grace of God go I to quote John King. Wonder how he is doing? I’m not doing the Pickleball thing yet. Still too hot for me.
I took Otis for an oil change and tire rotation – cost me around $100. I think I should start thinking about what it would be like without a car expense. But I wanted to put this picture up as it was funny!

It would have been better if Otis was in the picture, but the traffic started. I set up an appointment for next week to take Olivi@ in to get her tires greased. My next trip is August 22 to Lakeland with RVing Women. Bette and Susan are going up north after all, but they are flying so I’ll be SOLO on this trip. Let’s hope I just have enough food for the trip. I am supposed to have a shaded location. I hope that is true. I’ll find out when I get there.
I am doing a “DeCluttering” of my house. I am seriously thinking about selling out of Naples, buying an RV and traveling out to Arizona to live near Bill & Cathy. I think I can do that. I have done a few things. Cleaned off part of a countertop in the kitchen. Put the Chilean Tray out on the porch on the table. Threw out the purple chairs and green chairs and replaced them with the white chairs that had just been piled up on the porch.

The purple chairs were picked up yesterday in about 5 minutes. I found those chairs really uncomfortable, although I loved the color. The green ones were much more comfortable, but had begun to tear and rust. They are still waiting for the trash people to pick them up.
Now the white chairs are being used. It looks pretty stark out there, but the chairs are much more comfortable and were just piled up “in case” I needed them for guests! Funny – I’ve only loaned them to Deb and Ron when Ellen got married. Otherwise, they’ve just been sitting there. So I’ll plan to keep them with the house when I go, like Paul did for me when I moved in.
So this happened today too:

I moved these from my old house downtown to this house. I have never listened to them. I’m going to take them to Artsy-Thrift to see if anyone wants them. I only have DVD/CD players now. My old stereo system can play them, but they are mostly music from when I was married and so who cares about that. I won’t be listening to any of them – haven’t in probably 25 or more years – when did I get divorced? 1989? That’s 30 years! WOW! So I’m obsessing about moving and selling out. I’m trying to stay focused on waiting until I go out to Arizona, but I know I’ll be looking at Gerzeny’s next Tuesday. I just hope I wait! PLEASE GOD KEEP ME PATIENT!
Now, speaking of patient. I’m going to go eat my lunch outside on the porch. Be back in a bit.
Now I’ve been looking at my “garden” walk. Look at this crazy SUZEE plant:

And this:

This plant is so amazing. I just literally “stuck” it in the dirt and I’ve left it alone. I do NOTHING to it. That is MY kind of plant! I love it!
Here is a picture of the porch showing the new WHITE chairs and the Chilean tray on the table:

I even threw away the dirty candles that were on the table. I will NEVER light them and they got really grimy on the porch. They got tossed today. It’s amazing – the sense of relief after doing this. The good news about the Uncluttered course is that I can do it over and over again. I think it cost $89 and it is really worth every penny. I have a lot to do, but so far – so good.
In addition to this course, I followed a program on Alzheimers.

Cathy told me about it and I really enjoyed it. Let me see if I can get some info on it for this blog. It is hosted by David Purlmutter who has done other shows on PBS. This one is interesting and tells us all about what to eat and how everything impacts your brain. I got the DVD’s from PBS when I signed up for $15 a month in support of PBS. The doctor that created those DVD’s is interviewed in David’s program also. I didn’t feel like spending $189 for the complete set of DVD’s and other information. I hope I don’t regret that. One thing I am trying to accomplish is doing the Ketogenic Diet. It is very much like Atkins Diet. It is low carb, high fat food. This is the lunch I made today: It was the other half of the spinach salad I started yesterday that I bought at Trader Joes. I cooked a filet of salmon with a “jerk” marinade on it and mixed it with the salad. It was GREAT! This is also very WW friendly.

Notice the 2 fans. The AC one and a small personal fan, along with the fan over the table. It made the 90 degree temperature, bearable. So this is all of the new “life” I’m considering. New home with a vision of selling my house and moving to Arizona in my CLASS C camper with my two cats. I think the trip out to Arizona in my CLASS C will be fun. Maybe I won’t need to buy a house when I get out there. I can certainly take my time about the purchase of the house. I just need to let Bill and Cathy know I want to sell everything. No sense in moving anything with me but the cats and some personal items. I’ll be driving my “home” with me. Next I’m getting healthier. I’ve used the Sit-N-Cycle 2 days in a row. I’m waiting for my LECTRIC bike next month. Then I’ll have that to travel with on my trek out west.
So all things considered. I think I’m doing OK now. Very excited about my next chapter. YAY!
