Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #68

Today is Monday, August 12, 2019. I am trying to understand how to get money from Jill by way of Zelle for her part of the room for the State Convention which is $150. I was able to send money to Heidi a few months ago without problem, but I can’t figure out how to do it the other way around. I’ll stop by the bank after the 8AM and see if they can show me how to do it. It may come in handy when I’m “on the road”.

Here is a picture of Jill and I at the convention:

Jill & Me

I am listening to Transitions Daily while doing this. It is nice to start the day that way. I am finding that using YouTube and listening to Podcasts will be my form or entertainment when I hit the road. I love this and will continue to blog on the road. I’m finding if I blog about it, it keeps me focused on my next chapter.

In the meantime, I am working on decluttering – the couch was the first big item I decluttered. It really had to go and my plan is not to replace it. If I get into using this:

No Couch

all the better. I can Sit-N-Cycle and find word search and solitaire on my iPad while cycling. Plus I need to get into shape if I plan to get the eBike in September. Let me see if I can get a picture of that for here. I’m REALLY excited about getting it:

My new bike

I couldn’t find a picture of it so I thought I’d put this video about it on here instead. It gives you a better look at it anyway. This is such a great bike. They are very responsive. I asked if my bike was going to be shipped in August, but they responded saying that it would be shipped in September, which was what I thought initially, but got information that a bunch were being shipped in August. Anyway, now I’m waiting until September which is fine. I’m not leaving anywhere in September & I’ll have lots of time to practice with it and get used to putting it in the car. I’ll probably drive over to the greenway and go there. I might even drive it on that funky place between Radio Road and Rattlesnake Hammock. I can also ride it around Sugden park from New Attitudes. I’ll probably ride it there once in a while, although if I go that far, I won’t need to ride it around there. Also, there is always the opportunity to ride it around the park on Livingston. That is also a park riding place. Then I can take it to Collier-Seminole State park and ride it on the trails I never found when I was out there. Which also makes me think about going to Myakka as a day trip – or not. I could go there and camp and also have the bike! I was hoping I’d have it for my trip to Lakeland with the RVing Women. I’m actually looking forward to doing the water aerobics in the pool. I know it’s gonna be really hot there. The other thing I want to do is ride it to Aldi’s and to Publix. Anywhere to keep from using the car. I’ll probably buy those panier bags from the site. I wish I had bought the bike off of CheapRV Living or one of the other places so that I got the FREE bags – a $50 value!

I’m gonna get going now. I’m going to the 8AM and then the bank and then I’m calling Bill to get the price of the tickets set so I can get going on printing the tickets. I may go up there because I need to buy some stuff for ticket control and I want to use the Intergroup CC.

So this came today:

Clam

So the video says it takes 60 seconds to put up. That’s a lie. It took me 45 minutes! But I think it was because I tried to put it up in a confined space. If I had put it up in the yard, I think it would have popped out quicker. It is pretty efficient. It’s pretty big in the bag. It will definitely have to ride in the Jeep with the back seat put down. It weighs about 25 – 30 pounds, but it is really worth it. I can set up the Flamingo tray table in there with a chair and can work on the computer away from the sun and the bugs. I’m going to take it to Lakeland next week and see how it goes. It has privacy walls that can be bought. I think I’ll see how much they are. I can get them on Amazon. 3 sides were only $50 so I bought them. They’ll be here tomorrow.

Ok so this happened today:

Metaxa checking it out!

I’m closing off for today. Thanks for visiting!
