Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #73

Happy Monday Morning, August 19, 2019,

So I’m still “high” on my new RV. I am reading all about it in the Owner’s Manual that Ken Hill gave me to look over. I can’t tell you how excited I am about embarking on this new adventure. It will be “da bomb”!

I sold my guestroom furniture yesterday to clean out the guest room: Here is what it looked like.

GuestRoom

I sold it for $275 to a guy named Fritznel who lives in Ave Maria. He wanted to come in the morning yesterday, but I said I wanted to go to church and asked him to come around 3 instead. Well about 7PM he was finally here and it took us about an hour to load it all in his car. It was a hoot. The screws were really hard to get undone at the headboards. Somehow we jammed it all into his van. It was a bunch of work, but worth it to get it out. Now the room is wide open for me to use as a “storage room” for personal items to rent my place potentially. There are so many options. I’m not in a rush although my money faucet will be running for a while. I need to do so much. I’m figuring that I can drive my Born Free (Got to come up with a name soon) into my driveway and work with it by plugging it in and also using the generator. I’m going to look for storage, but will try to get permission to leave it in my driveway for a while until that gets settled. I’ll be searching the first part of this week to find storage for it. I sure hope they’ll let me do a “month to month”. Of course that’s in a perfect world! And we all know that’s not how it is. Time will tell.

So here she is with Ken showing us how to lower the awning:

How the Awning works

I am so excited. I just texted to Bill that I can’t remember when I was so happy! My greatest challenge is to be “patient”. Take my time. I think I’ll keep her in my driveway to work on her and then take her back to storage at night. We’ll see how that flies in the community. I don’t think I’ll be able to keep her in my driveway forever, but wouldn’t that be nice! It certainly is a nice looking vehicle. I’ll test it for a while, but will get a back-up plan. Suzee has a great idea to put it out there to look for Golden Gate property that may allow that type of storage. I could drive around the industrial areas to see if there is space somewhere. I might ask Steve Kirby since he has that warehouse and it could always look as if he was “fixing” it. NOW THAT IS GENIUS! I’ll see him tomorrow! I signed up for the RV Park around the corner beginning September 1 on a month to month and at $106 a month. I’ve paid for September. I think it will work out great. I can drive Ms Daisy around all over town pretending to be a NOMAD without the hassle of trying to follow the GPS. I am in site #37. There will be room to back her in and have room for my car to be there too. I can also run the generator during the day if I want to. The dump station is right outside the storage area and I’ve not seen anyone use it. I’m not sure if there is a fee or not, that is to be determined. But I don’t know if I’ll need to do it anyway. How much will I be using it?

Off to meditation. Suzan and Bette are away so I’m driving Jeff and Suzee. Thanks for visiting!
