Good Morning everyone,
It is Tuesday, September 3, 2019. I think I want to blog everyday for a while. I have so much to do and sometimes, this helps me organize my thoughts. I have cleaned out Olivi@ and she is mostly done except for the back kitchen. I have extra water in the cooler and I’ve had that on for a few days. I just wanted more cold water for the storm. But it seems that Dorian is not going to effect us here in SW FL which is such a blessing. I took my broken screen to ACE hardware to have it fixed and it cost $30. I also bought flourescent light bulbs for over the sink in Daisy. One of the bulbs was dead. They wouldn’t dispose of it for me, so I need to drive it down to Airport Road and take it to the recycling center. That’s going to be an adventure!
Yesterday I said I was going to go to Collier-Seminole State Park, but I think I’m going to do it today instead. I think the weather will hold for most of the day and it might be nice to figure out some systems at the State Park. I wonder if they have a “day” rate for hooking up. It’s worth a shot.
So I bought a “Tile” for my phone and for my iPad. It will help me find them if I leave them somewhere. Eventually, I’ll get a couple for the kitties so I can track them too. But they’ll need to get used to a collar and an harness and neither of them have been given those to wear yet much. I’ll need to do that before I take them on the road full time. Right now I plan to have Suzee stay in the house with Midnight when I go to Arizona in November.
Time to go to the 8AM – I chair on Tuesdays. I’ll be back! I am back now. Eating my cereal breakfast and then I’m going out to Collier-Seminole to dump and to hang out until the rain comes. Trying to get an airline credit for a flight back from Arizona in November. I have to file a claim. We’ll see how that goes! Ok, I’m going to go the the State Park now. I’ll continue this later.
Made it to Collier-Seminole State Park.

Came here today to test my dumping skills. There are 4 spots with full hook-ups. 58, 59, 68 & 69. I chose 69. The camper beside me in this picture was a group from Ft. Lauderdale escaping Dorian. They decided it was safe to go back, so now I’m all by myself in front of that great bath house they put up after IRMA. Now it is just me – day rate $14.70. I had to back in twice & move the picnic table so I could get close enough to the sewer. I need to get an extension pipe for the sewer hose. I have the other connections. Plus I came out here unprepared. I left all my tools on Olivi@. My surge protector was also on Olivi@. I left my camp shoes & only had my sandals. I also left my rain gear so if it rains, I’ll get wet. Thank goodness I am only 1/2 hour from home!
So after I dumped, this is the chart now!

So proud! I did get a little help from my neighbor Mike. But I essentially did it myself!
I also did this for Steve Lewis:

I love that picture! He gave it to me the other night. What a sweet man!
I have determined, once I get my gear in Daisy (rain gear, tools, surge protector, camp shoes-everything I forgot today) it will be much easier to “break camp”. But if I put out all my decorations, it will slow me down, so I guess I realized many Nomads don’t bother with that stuff, plus space is at a premium & there just isn’t room for that stuff if you are full time. I’m learning! Lots of wasted money!
So I just enjoyed my salad for lunch. The AC is pretty cool, so I’m going to turn it off for a while. So the whole park is practically empty & this just happened.

Looks like a single dad & his son. I’ll leave them alone to set up. I didn’t really like Tammy coming over to me even before I parked the sucker! Anyway I’ll just spy on them for a while & determine what is happening. I’ll be leaving by 5 so they’ll be alone after I leave. I need to get home before my day rate is over, which I really don’t know what time that is. Didn’t ask. Guess I’ll see if there is something in the paperwork. I did notice that my neighbor didn’t lock his camper door! Now he took out his sailboard from the camper.

I guess it’s a paddle board, not a sailboard duhh!
I wonder if they can see in here. Kid’s name is Levy. Just heard that! I guess they’re here for a while. Moving the bedding from the truck into the camper. So I guess this is what you do at campgrounds. Try to figure out motivations & stories. It’s kind of fun! It was pretty cool that he backed it in the first time without rearranging it! But right now the door to the truck is open. I guess they aren’t from around here. I can’t see where they are from. Note to self. Get some binoculars! Also, it’s just a young boy & his dad. Not wife to badger them into closing doors etc. Bugs & quick showers will teach them to close their doors! Remember Mary, my business & none of my business! But after all, they are RIGHT next to me when the wile place is empty!!!
So now they have put the paddle board in the back of the truck along with the cooler. Guess they are going paddle boarding. Wonder if they know about alligators 🐊? God protect them please! I’m letting it go!
Time for a nap! Be back later.

Hi Bill,
This is how I “get my frustrations” out. I like to TYPE! I should be an editor. I remember my mom typing a book for an author when I was growing up and it was on the typewriter with carbon paper! Wow – how life has changed. Please acknowledge that you received this response. I tried to test it and couldn’t get it to work, so I don’t know how it does work! I appreciate your comments even if you don’t know I’m responding because you don’t get this.
Mary, Kitties and Daisy!
