Happy Monday, September 30, 2019. So tomorrow is the first of October. Usually October is my favorite month because the weather is cooler. I’m hoping that by the 20th when we go to Koreshan, the mosquitoes will be non-existent. That is the hope anyway.
So yesterday I had a great day! Bill troubleshot my RV issues from Yellowstone! First of all, I brought Daisy back home and plugged her into the house with my new power cord. With the power cord in, the A/C worked! Thank you Lord! Then I went out to the Generator and Bill had me take off the face panel. Here is the picture of the “guts” of the generator.

If you look at the switch at the upper right, when I first opened the cabinet, the switch was “off”. I’m guessing it tripped when power cord conked out at the campground. So that was why the A/C would not work with the generator. As soon as I switch the switch to “on”, the A/C worked fine. I can’t tell you how happy that made me. First of all that it was working and second of all that Bill trouble shot me all the way from Yellowstone on the phone. SO that is HUGE!
The next thing was this:

Ken Hill told me to use the breaker to turn off the A/C so I had been doing that, but it didn’t seem right. Come to find out, that there is an “off” on the panel that I couldn’t see because the A/C unit was high up on the roof. Bill & Cathy have the same A/C in their rig! Whaaaaaat???? So his clearly shows the “off” label. So today, when I go to Daisy, I’m going to climb up and see if there is an “off” on mine. Then I’m going to “test” it. I’m sure it will work, so that is another problem solved. No more turning the A/C off by a breaker! YAY!
So after fixing those issues, I am once again in love with Daisy. I was getting a bit disheartened due to the lack of A/C. I can not NOT have A/C in Florida. So now I’m excited to be going camping on October 20th!
So this is what I’m looking for each time I step into Daisy:

Look for blue dots! Life is good! I’m going to go to the 8AM and then over to Daisy, by way of looking for that Marathon Gas Station on the east trail. Then all I have to do today is go to Meditation, so I’ll probably ride my bike a little today. I rode it yesterday afternoon around 5:30. It was shaded all the way up the street in Lely about that time. So that is when I’ll go biking most days, unless I do it first thing in the mornings. I’m hesitant to ride it to NAC for the 8AM, but that is really one of the purposes of getting it. I’ll keep working on getting my head wrapped around that. I should measure the distance. Perhaps I’ll do that today.
