Today is Wednesday, November 6th. I have the Intergroup Meeting tonight and Peter, our secretary, is not going to make it so I need to make notes. I may request someone to do them for us tonight. We’ll see. I am also going to get weighed in at WW for November.
Yesterday, I took a video of Metaxa and Wylie on the porch. Let me go get it. They are so cute:
So I’ve been thinking about Wylie and Metaxa travelling with me. They usually keep their distance from each other in the house. I would guess they would do that in Daisy also. But there are times when they hiss at each other and scrap a little. They will definitely be “stressed” in the RV until they get used to it. I’m just not ready to take them yet. I think I’ll do it when I get Daisy back to Florida and I’ll do some camping around the State this winter. Now that Sammy is back, it might be fun if Suzan, Bette and Sammy and I go camping together. They will have both of their dogs and I could have my kitties.
I actually hope I fall in love with Arizona and make the move out there – at times I think that way, then I think about renting my place by JoAnn. I’m cleaning out a lot of stuff, but I have a LONG way to go. But really what’s the rush?
So I put the “fix” on Daisy:

The top pictures shows what “broke” the storage door. It was the lock on the generator compartment. Now I need to “caulk” it with waterproof caulking. I’ll go visit Suzee at Home Depot today to get the right type.

I just got weighed in and I’m up 2 pounds, but I’m OK and still maintaining Lifetime Membership. I was driving home, and slowly driving through the parking lot and my Jeep just quit while DRIVING! I swore that if that ever happened I’d turn in the car and get another one. I have been pushed just so far now. Rudy is trying to get me a loaner, but I’m not sure I want to keep this car. I should not have to deal with an “unsafe” car. We’ll see what happens. I stopped by Jeep & plead my case to Bobby the service manager. When I get back from Arizona, he said to bring it in & they will do their best to fix it. Bobby gave me the name of another service guy & told me to contact him when I get back. There must have been some “talking “ over there because Rudy texted me & wished me a good trip. I do like the Jeep, & I’d like to get it working right, even though someone keyed me!
I am now sitting in Daisy with the generator on, it cranked right up, and the AC is on. It is wonderful in here!
I am going to fill up Otis2 today. I’ve found that it has a small tank & poor gas mileage so I fill up about every 5 days or so. I’ve been trying to put in Top Tier gas & additive (twice) & I haven’t felt the clunk in a while so hopefully that is working. Rudy is still trying to get a loaner for me. We’ll see!
I watched an hour long YouTube movie about being a Nomad. It was great! They interviewed young couples & showed how wonderful this Nomad life can be. I’ve discovered that not only does Sammy live at Naples RV Resort, but Rhonda is renting here also. She is in a camper that has a lanai attached to it & a washer & dryer. I love this little park. It is a good size. They rent spaces for $750 a month during season & less in the summer. I want to see if I can stay here & rent out my house. That would be a good plan unless I sell out completely. I’m evaluating all of my options. It is so sweet here during the day! I love being in Daisy! It is so comfortable! Quiet & peaceful! Just dog gone wonderful!

Metaxa is still outside on the lanai resting in the bed in the playpen. I love that! I think she’ll be fine on the road. I just watched a video showing lots of Nomads with cats. I think they will be fine. I just need to pull the plug on it. But not on my first trip across country with Bill and Cathy. Besides, I’m leaving Daisy in their care and it wouldn’t be fair for them to have to take care of them while I fly back to Naples. I need to figure out how I’m going to go back out west after the Gratitude Dinner. We’ll see, I’m sure everything will fall into place.
Continued Thursday Nov. 7. I am cooling down Daisy & adding to this post on my iPad. I did the accounting of tickets this morning & I made a deposit for 110 tickets. Most are accounted for. Bill is now in charge! This is how he feels about it!
So funny. I am totally out of it now. Whew!
I’m trying to get completely set up to leave early on Sunday. My trip is a little over 4 hours straight up 75. I realized last night that I have not driven Daisy in the dark. I hope I don’t need to, but I better check the lights today in case one is burned out & I don’t know it. I need to check the windshield wipers too. One twisted around the other day & I hope that isn’t an issue. Tested & everything works!
