Good Morning Wednesday, October 29, 2014

Hello Everyone,

So today I woke up “excited” about Serenity-by-the-Sea at the Naples Grande this weekend.  I asked Bill to bring all of my “Grapevine” baskets on Saturday morning since I’ll be coming late due to walking in the Heart Walk.  It’s gonna be a busy weekend!  Swamp Buggy Races and Parade on Saturday also.  Downtown Naples is going to be “Packed”.  I texted my old neighbor to ask if I could park at my old parking lot near Cambier so I’ll walk over from there.  Then I’ll be able to “scoot” out of the area on 10th and not have the other traffic on 41 to contend with.  I’ll be able to get home – take a shower and zip on up to the hotel.  At least that is the plan.  We’ll be doing a “Grapevine” table all day on Saturday.  It will be me, Steve & Roy.  Not sure about Sherri.  I’ll email her to see if she is coming.  Haven has a “family” commitment so can’t help.  I’ll miss her!  I’m already working out my plan for Friday night.  I’ll go there after work to get my badge and hang around for a while.  There are meetings on Friday night too.  I’m planning to wear my “Grapevine Apron” with Grapevines in the pocket and I’ll bring my “baby laptop” to take orders for those in need of a subscription.  I sure hope that the Naples Grande has free WiFi in the “common areas”.  We’ll see.  I must remember to get my parking ticket validated.  Last time I went there with my brother to celebrate Ale’s birthday, I forgot to do that and had to pay $6 to get out of the garage.  I’m going to see if I can park somewhere else this time.

So last night I got a surprise from Roy.  Here it is:

"Victor E." meets Blue Man Group

I’m STILL laughing this morning.  So funny!  Now that is an enthusiastic Grapevine Rep!  Thank you Roy for your excitement!  It’s CONTAGIOUS!

So I also have another picture to post today.  This was from Steve K  & Betsy upon “rescuing” Victor E.  I’ll be bring him on Friday as my “escort”!

Anyway, I’m planning to have a “Grape” time.  No pressure – no responsibility to an event other than to enjoy it.  I’m already more relaxed.

Still need to “wrap” up the Picnic.  Not too worried about that either.  I won’t have anything for Polly other than the regular report.  No specific report to District about the picnic yet.  Which has me thinking, I better sign off for now and work on info for her to report at District tonight.

Have a beautiful day today!

Midst all the rush here, rush there, do this, do that this coming weekend…I detect a lessening of tension. Maybe even some semblance of serenity in your blog writing. And that fits RIGHT IN with “Serenity By The Sea”

Yep, I’ll be there Friday afternoon or evening, and Saturday morning. Looking forward to meeting and greeting–things I LUUV to do.

Jerry E asked if I’d be interested in strolling with my violin during the Saturday Banquet. I had to (FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!) tell him “No”…my old body just cannot handle the physical part of standing and playing and smiling while in pain for couple hours and yes, “playing” is really “WORKING”. So that was a final turning point in my “music career”–LOL! All I can do now are beach weddings, church services, and funerals. Hmmmm!

    But I’m certainly able
    to have a grape time
    hanging around the table
    of Committee Grapevine
    Thanks!
    Bye.
