Ms. Days Ease RV Life #40

Today is Monday, November 11th. Veteran’s Day! Thank you to all of our Veterans! I slept super last night. Went to bed at 8ish and woke up at 3:30! Then went back to sleep until 6! Needed the rest from the day before when the generator was on.

So this morning I go to the bathroom and I have a leak on the floor. Of course I thought a cat peed in there, but it was a lot of water. Then I saw that some suntan lotion had fallen onto the pipe in the back of the toilet. In tracing it back, it looks like it is coming from the corner of the cabinet and I’m not sure about that. Anyway, I had heard the water pump cycling and I was wondering why it was doing that because I had not heard that before, but then I was thinking perhaps I didn’t hear it because of the generator running. Anyway, I should have realized something was causing it to cycle. See I’m thinking………..anyway. I have now turned off the pump. Texted Bill, he will call me….ok, all is well. Got the call. I will turn off the pump and when we get to the campground this afternoon we will tighten it. Bill gave me a lot of confidence last night and said that the best thing about RV’s is they are “fixable” and fairly easy to fix. Yay!

So the inevitable happened. Metaxa figured out how to get behind the couch into the storage bin below! I turned around and I thought I saw her tail disappearing at the corner of the couch. So even with the stuff I stuffed in there, she figured it out. So when she came out, I put more stuff in the corner. Now I need to figure out if she can get in there from the other end of the couch, but I don’t think she can. I’ll do that later.

Today, I’m taking my time leaving here. It is only a 3 hour (for me probably 4 and a half) ride to our next destination. I did what Cathy suggested and she looks at the mapping app and then takes out the Atlas and determines if the route is the one she wants – like yesterday – I bet she would have figured out how to go where I was going without all those tolls – it cost me about $10 in tolls!

BTW – my neighbor to my left, took off this morning. I didn’t even hear him go. I saw him messing around, then he took his golf cart to the garbage I would suppose, hooked it up and took off. I never saw that happening and I even have the window open! WOW! But this is good, now no one can see me in here! I’m uploading a video from this morning and will put it here when it finishes!

Morning at Stephen Foster Cultural State Park

So yesterday, did I tell you I got turned around a couple of times. I went the wrong way getting out of the Faded Bistro. Then I couldn’t figure out what they meant about paying the tolls and exited the highway and had to dig around for 4 quarters – luckily I saw that on YouTube and before I left home I grabbed a lot of quarters for my coin purse. Plus I had all those tolls to pay!

Here are a couple of pictures from my arrival at my campsite.

This State Park has so much to offer. It is definitely worth coming back here again!

Stephen Foster #4

I love seeing Daisy in her big pull through site at this place. It was so nice!

Look at this clean fire ring! Nice touch!
Stephen Foster SP nite

I’m going to go take my shower. It’s 8:30 and time for me to get going. I’ll be back later to continue the adventure!

OMG – the shower was AMAZING. I forget what it feels like taking showers in 40 degree weather. SO REFRESHING! I love it! Just saw a squirrel on the tree outside! Sadie would be barking! The campers are waking up. I hear kid voices and dogs barking. It is a holiday afterall! My neighbor has a flag out. Another thing I forgot. I also noticed that I did not bring any jeans, just my two pair of camping pants and my jean capris. Too bad, but I AM NOT GOING TO BUY ANY JEANS! But we have a ton of jeans at our Artsy-Thrift. That is where I’ll buy them in Arizona if I think I need a pair!

I’m sitting in my rig with all of the blinds up. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! My other neighbor just left! All alone! I’m going to go out for a walk and take my garbage but first I’ll dry my hair in the bathhouse because I think my dryer is too strong for the current in here. Although I think I used it in the bathroom before when I was hooked up and it worked. I don’t know. I may try it again in here. Afterall – I will need that if I live in here for extended times!

The ranger is raking my neighbor campsite! That is so super and why this campground is so amazing! I’ll be back here when I have more time. I think if I leave here by 10 or so, I’ll be good, so I’ll go in a moment. I want to upload the cute video of Metaxa playing.
