Ms. Days Ease RV Life #44

Good Morning everyone. Today is Friday, November 15, 2019. You might wonder why I start out telling you the day and date. Well, it’s to remind me what day it is. Now that I am retired, I have a tendency to forget – not just that but everything!

Today we are packing up from Fountainebleau State Park in Louisiana and will travel to Sandy Creek Campground in Texas. It is 4 hours and 55 minutes away. It will probably take us 6 hours to get there with our stops and everything. That is longer than I’ve driven before so we’ll see how it goes.

So Metaxa is giving me fits right now. She has discovered how to access the “underbelly” of the coach below the couch. She can climb down the back of the couch and get below it. I was afraid of her doing that and it really upset me, but no matter how much I stuff in the back of the couch, she figures a way to get down there. I don’t think she will stay once we get moving. I’m hoping she will go to her spot behind the chair for the ride. The stuff in the storage place will move around with the bumps so she’ll get hurt. I certainly don’t want to put her in a carrier, but I may have to. We’ll see what happens today.

So now I’ve done this:

Couch Corner

I put a kitty bed on the corner to stuff the access and I’m going to leave the light on over it. It puts out a lot of heat and I think she’ll like the feel of that. But she is pretty stubborn and will do her own thing. Maybe if she is stuck in the storage area and we get moving, she won’t like that and not do it again. I don’t know. Life on the road with kitties! But look at sweet Wylie. Perfectly content to stay on the couch!

But this also makes it worth it to me:

Metaxa’s View

My MiFi is really spotty so I’m going to finish this now and just get ready for departure. I’ll be back tonight I think. Thanks for visiting!

Continuing from earlier today. I’m hoping the WiFi will cooperate. We are at an Army Corp of Engineering Park. It is on a beautiful lake in Jasper, Texas. The place is amazing. Here is my site:

My Site COE

This place is so cool. Metaxa discovered the bathroom today and loved looking out at the lake. Wylie wanted to eat!

Arrival at COE

Here is a video of our arrival and the road to the place:

COE – Jasper, TX

My windshield is so dirty. I’ve got to get that cleaned off tomorrow. But the road to this place was 5 miles in and bumpy. It was a two way road, but not very wide. Going out tomorrow may be a little interesting. We’re taking off again at 8:30. Today we drove from 8:30 to 3:30. It was a long day but so worth it. Look at this super sunset!

Sunset at COE

It was amazing! We had to get gas twice today. $60 and $52. We also needed to stop at Walmart: I needed a pint of oil and I also got a pair of slippers because the socks alone were not cutting it. Now my feet are really toasty ! They were $10. They had them for the whole family, Baby Bear, Mama Bear and Papa Bear. I think I should have bought the “Baby Bear” since these are so big, but they’ll work for this trip!

Walmart Slippers

So this was us at Walmart:

So this is what we look like with our buggy;

Welcome to Walmart, Need a buggy?

So this is how we’re ending the night……..two sleepy kitties with Mama Bear! Thanks for visiting again. Give the videos a “thumbs” up and “Subscribe” to be a follower of my channel on YouTube. Who knows, maybe I’ll make enough money on YouTube to pay for these trips.

Nite Nite

I am having fun traveling with you via blog!! Cats are so persistent…our feral kittie, Ollie, used to hop into the litter box as soon as we started up. She had long hair and would emerge covered in litter. Needless to say, I kept that litter box clean as a whistle…then got the idea to put a layer of paper towels on top. That’s all it took…she did not like the paper towels and found a new spot!
    Love the sunset!! ♡♡
