Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I did not post yesterday and my faithful follower (note that is singular) reminded me of the fact, so this morning I thought I would start a blog and then finish it up as the day ends after having a wonderful meal with Bill and Cathy!
It has been raining for the last day or so. Last night I discovered a bit of a leak by my roof fan. The good news about this wonderful rig, is that it isn’t too much of a problem because the rig is fiberglass and won’t rot out, but when it stops raining, I’ll look at it further to determine this issue. Of course that means my brother will help with that. So nice to have a handiman around to help with stuff like that.
I took a walk around the park on my way to the dumpsters the other day and discovered a little walking path:

My pictures are not coming through this morning – must be the rain causing the internet to slow down. I think I’ll turn on the TV to see if the Macy’s Parade has any balloons flying. I’ll be back later.

The sign says: “Here lies Joe Blow, He never learned the scoop of picking up his doggie poop.”
So since I’ve been here, the kitties are getting along “famously”. So here we are keeping warm:

Now I have the TV on listening to the Today show and waiting for the parade. I just realized that the pictures were caught in my “out box”. Not sure why that happens, but maybe I’ll remember next time!
So here is another type of cactus. Bill told me that it’s a “Donkey Ear”. And also the purple flower of it:

And this is the purple flower of it:

So I think it finally stopped raining! YAY!!!!! But it is 45 degrees outside and 64 inside. We’re toasty in here!
So for those who may be worried about my roof leak, I think it is fine. I “locked” the cover down and the little area that was wet last night is completely dry. No more problem!!
We had the best Thanksgiving Dinner – we figured it was about 25 years since we had Thanksgiving Dinner together! Cathy did all of the cooking and it was amazing. We had broccoli, Sweet Potatoe Casserole, homemade stuffing which was made with homemade bread crumbs, and turkey roll. After dinner, we took a bit of a break and then I’ll return later for homemade apple tart with ice cream while we watch a movie. It has been super!

I did have seconds on sweet potatoes and broccoli. It was all “healthy” too. No wheat or grains. I really loved it! The secret to the sweet potatoes was the maple syrup. Yummy! And this is for dessert:

It was a super dinner with Bill and Cathy! Thanks so much! I love being here! Time to get rolling again. Thanks for visiting!

Glad to see you’re on the ball with writing. Your weather doesn’t sound so good to me. It was 83 here and sunny. Just sayin.
