Hello Everyone,
So today I’m taking a “PTO” day and I got paid today so it’s a double good thing. I opened up the house for the kitties and the sliding glass door is still open so I can hear the noises from our little “woodsy” area. Sounds like “chicadas” (spelling?). Anyway, it’s nice to hear the nature that surrounds us. I went for my walk this morning and I’m now getting ready to vacuum the house. Not so sure I’ll do that right now. I’ve been doing my accounting for the Gratitude Dinner. I’m trying to reconcile the tickets and money. The good news is that Bill is saying that the 4 MIA tickets I’ve been looking for are “credit card” sales so that will be great. Now I just need to hear back from Jayson and Gary about their tickets. Ron P didn’t think he had another envelope of tickets (although I’d be surprised that I misassigned them to him). I know he handed back an envelope with 7 sold tickets to me early in the process because he was going on a cruise. I saw him at The Naples Group last night and he said he would look in his car for them. Interesting….wonder what else is in his car? Terri L said her tickets are at her house with no sales, and Bette from Marco has a packet of tickets unsold also. With that – I think I’ve accounted for all of the tickets. I’m still going to sell tickets today at BB and at the Anniversary Dinner of Common Solutions. It’s kind of fun being “free” on Friday nights.
I joined the Naples Group last night. I went to the business meeting and I also stayed for the speakers. Michelle and Tim spoke. It was nice to know both of them and hear their stories. I think it will be a good group for me. I know most every one of the active members and I really enjoy the Saturday night Big Book study.
Polly said she isn’t going to be District Secretary now. I’m sorry about that, I was looking forward to some “consistency” with the minutes from District. I thought about doing it myself, but I’m going the pray about it. I’m not sure I really want to do that – although it is pretty well “set up” for the next secretary.
Our Intergroup slate of officers is very lengthy. The best I’ve seen in a number of years. It will be interesting to see how it comes out. I can’t vote since I’m not a group rep any longer. I am still thinking that I won’t do the Gratitude Tickets again next year. 8 years is long enough. I think Ralph and Heather can do them, since they’ve done it before. I can give them “pointers” but my system is pretty complicated and probably doesn’t need to be that complicated. I’m sure it will work out as it should.
I’m going to “get going” now. Planning to go the the Common Solutions Dinner tonight and will try to sell Gratitude Tickets there. We’ll see.
Have a beautiful day today!

Great to know–near the end of “selling season” the location and status of tickets–(hearing a sigh of relief).
Mary, you wrote”…I am still thinking that I won’t do the Gratitude Tickets again next year. 8 years is long enough…”
If I were gambling man I’d pick YES on you keeping your perennial job with tickets and maybe I’d win with great odds. You DO have an affinity with all the associated activity And in the end, MARY will do what MARY will do. And that is fine with everyone. True!
