Good Morning Thursday, November 13, 2014

Hello Everyone,

So today is FREEDOM day number 1.  It is “A Small World” at Moorings Park, put on by the Orchid Terrace Staff.  It’s gonna be HUGE!  Our little skit has turned out to be pretty darn good – thank goodness for the younger “dancers” in the front!  My part is just waving an American Flag and stepping to the music back and forth.  Then we do a little do-see-do in the middle then a little KICK for a couple of verses.  I’m just HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY it will be over soon!

FREEDOM day number 2 is SATURDAY!  If by now you don’t know what I mean by that, well, you haven’t been listening – I mean reading.  I can’t tell you how much GRATITUDE I’m going to have come SATURDAY night about 10PM!  (That’s a hint!).

So on with my day.  When I started this laptop this morning there was an “update” that had to complete.  I kind of hate that, because I’m not sure what will happen and what will “change” as a result.  Not to mention the fact that there could be a “virus” causing this on my laptop.  I was having trouble getting things to work this morning – “pages unresponsive” – slowed computer – stuff like that.  So I turned it off – which took longer than usual so I fired up my desktop to do my little blog today, but now I’m back on my laptop and things seem to be OK.  I certainly can’t afford to have this little guy down over this coming weekend.  It just makes me nervous when things like that happen.

Now my mind has been thinking about the AA website and all of the changes to it that will need to be done when we move.  I’m trying to figure out how to fix the HEADER because it has the current address on it – although it is so small that no one probably notices it.  But I need some direction for that and I’ll need to get Gary to help me.  That isn’t always easy.  I need F2F when we do this stuff – not on SKYPE.  Getting that to happen is difficult but I hope he will understand about that.  I’ve contacted him to add a page so we can Archive the Couriers and that hasn’t happened.  I think it would be pretty simple – just “add a new page” but then I’m not sure what to do after that.  I dare not “try it” as Bob would say – I already did that with the picture on the Home Page and I don’t like what happened, although I’m not sure anyone else noticed it but me.

Well with all of my computer issues this morning, I’ve run out of time so I’m on my way.  Have a HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY day today!

Love the cat on the screen! We are in the piney woods of east Texas and will head into Louisiana today for a few nights, visiting Yellowstone friends. Then, we’ll be in the lovely state of Florida at a state park in Destin. Bring on the fresh seafood!!

I went to Destin for a while with Keith – remember him? He built some condos there and wanted to build a house with me – one of those cute little “cottage” like houses. I decided I wanted to live in Naples and not Destin with him. Last I heard he was in Orlando. Oh well!

Whatever I do I cannot comment (above!)…In fact, Thursday (your blog) disappeared from my computer for a lot of hours. Puzzling. I LIKE puzzles, but only when a resolution is available. (Your blog DID stay on my phone–but if I write there, you have trouble receiving it on WordPress

ANYWAY, FREEDOM is this week’s topic. All who know you Mary, are pleased you have freedom in your gunsight now (oops, is that a no-no, writing the word “gun”?)

Crap, I hunted with the family shotgun at age 11…when I fired, it almost knocked me down…OKAY–it DID put me on the ground. I brought home two rabbits, but a hired hand (farm) had to gut it for me. That would have sounded better to write “HE PREPARED it”–grin!

Although you will be free Sat nite ay 10 PM, I predict you will undo your “new-found” by Monday. Believe you HAVE to live an overwhelming life. And you ARE SO GOOD doing so.

Bottom line is the “freedom” we ALL enjoy in this wondrous and wonderful fellowship,
Mary, I must write it…and say it again

I was going through my posts and love this picture of Metaxa on the screen. I don’t even want to think about checking the screens for holes from her claws. But now that we trimmed her claws, she shouldn’t be able to do that until the next time.
